At worst I think Cortez can go back to being our #3 corner and succeeding in that role.

I'm not as worried about our CB situation as our safeties. Cortez at least has shown glimmers.

Our young safeties have shown us nothing.

The problem with him going back to being a #3 is we are paying him #1 money. It is plain and simple he either steps up and plays like a #1 or we eat the money this year get thru the season and drop him next year if he don't step up. I hope he comes back cause I am not a big fan of dead money.....

My approach would be to get him in as the #3 CB that he is and after the season extend him long term with a contract that gets most of the money back that we over paid him.

Not sure how you figure he falls under the definition elephant in the room?

"Elephant in the room" or "Elephant in the living room" is an English metaphorical idiom for an obvious truth that is either being ignored or going unaddressed. The idiomatic expression also applies to an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss.[2]

It is based on the idea that an elephant in a room would be impossible to overlook.

This board needs some more stickied threads:

A list of common idioms and their usage.

A list of logical and rhetorical fallacies, and their appropriate names and usage.

A quick digest of state laws on DUI.
