I think the modern athlete just plays the media in search of clicks, likes, re-tweets etc... We deal in a world full of bloggers and buzz feeds.. with very few journalists anymore. I mean Kyrie Irvin tells "reporters" that he doesn't believe the world is round. wtf? I think the athletes throw stuff out there and sit back and laugh as the world ignites around them. I think it affects the actual outcome of games far far less than what we believe. So Bell wants to retire... so Mitchell thinks we can beat the Patsies in Hell.... meh

Will the Jags play harder now because of what Mitchell supposedly said? I doubt it. I doubt any of this "turmoil" is in the minds of players as plays are being called out in the huddle come Sunday. What we might see as a raging dumpster fire they just see as a paycheck.

And like someone else stated, Mitchell made these comments after the Cheatriots game. Some clickbait reporter held it back til this week to start a fire with "Mitchell is overlooking the Jags!" Oh the horror!

I don't think there is any turmoil on the team.

They've won like 18 of their last 22 or 23 games (at least something close)

No matter what is happening or how it's being spun in the media, it's so obvious that team plays through it and wins no matter what.
