    Hey 4B.

Yes, Switzer is the least of our concerns and does provide minimal value. As I have stated in other threads, our "O" and "D" have role reversed regarding strength and weakness. The "O" has to mature faster now, where it used to be our strength with the 3 B's. Our "D" was coming along and it seems that with the Fitzpatrick acquisition it has gotten us to a new level. I like the pieces on the "O" it is just that they are young and need more experience. The skilled positions on "O" are all very young and still raw; especially the main Cog (i.e., the QB). I like Mason very much and think that he has "guts". In the meantime, the "D" is going to have to pick-up some of the slack for them by continuing with the sacks and turnovers. However, the "O" has to take advantage of those opportunities and produce more TDs. STEELWINDS

That was clearly an error. They never took a real look at what Spencer could do in the passing game with Roethlisberger. Now they are wasting a roster spot on a guy who is, as you said, a non-factor.

While not the biggest of issues I don’t understand how he can be the least of our problems when with a O that is struggling ,better field position would be a big plus. We’re getting basically nothing from our return game. To win big games against good teams STs can be the deciding factor.

There should be no room on our roster
for him, but he is still here. Can someone explain this to me please?
He is taking a roster spot, all he does is fair catch anyways.

Teachers pet  Tomlins list of sub par return men is a mile long during his tenure. His stubbornness to try something or someone new is frustrating. Definition of insanity.....How many years have we been complaining about the return game? Now not only are our returns bad we decided to try and implement the short kick strategy and it’s a total flop as well.

I am assuming Switzer will be Inactive this week after the shot he took against Indy.

Be curious to see who Returns Kicks and Punts.

Hoping for Holton on Kicks and Johnson on Punts.

Although, I don't know where Tony Brooks-James would fit into the mix.

Shouldn't your special teams coach be able to spot talent at the position he coaches.Danny Smith flat out sucks..
He brings nothing to the plate. Not that he is the only problem but he has had plenty of time to improve things and our special teams are still a non factor..

Ravens did that because Switzer might not think the ball is live and run away from it again. Such a well coached Special Teams.

Switzer hasn't been practicing, who else can we get to run 1 yard routes and reach the 15 yard line on kickoffs?

Some people just don't have enough to complain about. Switzer? Really?

He's sure handed but can't run. Great. Thanks for pointing that out. While so many of you are foaming at the mouth to draw and quarter the guy, let me ask, how many games has he lost for us by dropping a pass or fumbling? How many has JuJu? Conner? Samuels? Oh wait, they make up for it by their production. Right. So how many games did their production overcome their fumbling at critical times and save us from a loss?

And yeah, blame him for not bailing out our anemic offense. It's his responsibility to light it up in the return game BECAUSE we can't move the ball on offense.

If we only had gotten rid of him in the offseason, our secondary would lead the league in interceptions. JC would be on track for 2000 all purpose yards. JuJu would lead the league in catches and yards. Ben wouldn't be injured. Tomlin would have figured out how to manage the clock. We would average a 75 point differential per game (in our favor).

Get off his jock and complain about something else. Damn.

He's one man. He isn't dynamic. He isn't big. He just takes care of the football and is dependable to do what he is asked to do.

A tremendous error. Beyond AB and Randell El, when has this team had a decent return man for KO's or punts? They tried drafting at least one guy in the 3rd round (maybe more) for this one thing, yet never hit. Spenser dropped in their laps and just had that 'it' factor for a return guy. Not necessarily all pro, but every time he caught the ball you knew he COULD break it. The only thing we get from Switzer is hoping he does not fall backward for a loss.

It is telling that the most common defense of Switzer is that they don’t think he is worth complaining about. Switzer is terrible. He is useless on returns and as a receiver.

Not at all. It's not even a defense, it's just weird that he is the focal point.

But carry on, this years whipping boy apparently.

And it may or may not be telling, because I don't really care, that the most common criticism of Switzer is that they think he's terrible.

Hey, I can pull stuff out of my butt as well to complain about. JuJu is a terrible actor. He shouldn't be doing Pizza Hut commercials. He says "Litty" too much. Why didn't Pizza Hut drop him after AB got canned? He stole AB's goofy dance move. My stuffed crust supreme would have tasted SO much better if he wasn't still pedaling their pizza. Gaaahhhhh!! I'm so angry!!! WHY PIZZA HUT? WHY??

Excuse me for a moment while I go and start a thread about how terrible JuJu is. I'M SEEING RED!!

Yeah. I particularly love watching other returners fumble away posessions and not gain anymore yards than he does.

But yeah, keep complaining about him. All he does is keep the offense on the field.

    Stupid. Absolutely stupid.

Switzer is not an Edelman or Welker.
Honestly, anyone can fair catch punts. Just not any splash plays from him with his roster spot.
