Superbowl Window Closed

We are going to lose a lot of players next year. The defense and offense will not be as good or as deep as it was this year.

The window is closed. Steelers need to regroup and make this year count as best they can, if they can ... afterwards, this team is going to look really different for the years to come.

 

At this point, neither the defense nor the offense look deep.

 

Anything is possible in the playoffs this year with positive Covid tests results still coming in.

 

The defense is still plenty good enough to match up with anybody.. Getting back Williams and possibly a healthy Spillane would help. The offense is absolutely an achilles heel for us though, just like it was last year. I don't think the 2008 Steelers defense could overcome our offense right now, and our offense that year was pretty weak itself. The defense has to be able to get off the field for some time.. excessive 3-and-outs and turnovers are impossible to overcome.

 

As soon as we lost bud the defense can’t give the offense short fields and well 3 losses in a row now

Even Covid couldn’t save this team. Hell half the Ravens team had it and we still almost lost.

 

Super Bowl window has been closed. It closed when Cowhers team retired and the TOMLIN era began. 11 years later welp here we are.

 

Would be great if they just looked like an NFL offense. The defense is still a force but hell they can only hold up so long.

And please stop with the Dupree loss is the reason this defense struggles at times.. Highsmith is playing quite well. The kid has a burst and has major promise that won't take 4 years to see.

Super Bowl? Who are they going to match up with this offense?
