    For once.......

I didn't really feel like throwing anything at the TV, during a Steeler game...... :)

Yeah, Wallace had a few drops, but I selected AB over him in my fantasy league, so I had no problem with that. Overall, I was happy, considering how short we were at a few positions. Coulda been a 2 touchdown game, and with the lack of Bengal offense in the second half, I never really got nervous.

Let's see if they can put together a string of efforts like that.......

Quick edit: The ONLY thing that irritated me a little, but didn't make me throw anything, was the continuous penalties on our kick returns. Got old after a while......

Heath Miller hands down was the best player on the field last night, his blocking was outstanding, he caught a TD pass and got the 2 point conversion in between helping Adams block at right tackle, no one on that field last night played better than Heath and he accounted for 8 points and converted a lot of 3rd downs by catching the ball and blocking on bubble screens, the guy was a one man wrecking crew the whole game...

I'm rewatching the game and let me just say, Mike Adams was an absolute stud. He handled Geathers 1 on 1 in the pass game ALOT. The Rainey TD was ALL Adams.

Dont forget Colon was blocking his A off, when they showed his pancake on burfict grinding him into the dirt was hillarious to watch, dont forget Heath helped Adams double team on a lot of his blocks, but Adams is improving and will be a good fit on that right side after about 3 or 4 more games he should be good to go on his own......

what happens to our backups gilbert and pouncey now? just kidding.

i'm not ready to annoint colon or max or any of them all pro. they were very leanient on the holding calls. colon still tackles his man and still doesn't move his feet well in pass protection and on the move. did we forget the play he got thrown aside like a rag doll when ben got sacked? heath made a ton of difference for our line. he even pulls like a guard should and blocks on the outside like a tackle. cinci is a team thats not very good right now and we only won by a TD. we will see what these guys are made of in the next few weeks. on both sides of the ball. a win is a win though, and we looked a little better at times and not so good at times. we still have alot of work to do.

Compared to russ grimms Oline with the cards they would be all pro since the cards Oline has given up 29 sacks in their last 3 games: I might be wrong but didnt max initiate that block and turned his man into colon who was off balance and went down, that happens some times and untill the guard and tackle are on the same page these things will happen.....

is that our high water mark now? the cards? really? our TE's help this line alot. it ties them up far to much for my liking.

I've been saying it for a while...more playing time for him and the other young guys is only going to help them develop. While I hate the injuries/etc...but at least it gives him some real game experience and will help prepare him to take over a starting spot in the future (hopefully).

Ben threw the ball to the tight ends 7 times, thats more than we ever threw to them before, so, how tied up are they, do you want 10 throws a game to the TEs or would 20 throws be more to your liking, Haley is using the TE more than any coordinator we have ever had, tied up too much blocking, I dont think so.....

You want to throw to heath 73 times a game, LOL, in 2011 he had51 receptions for 2 TDs, this year already in 6 games he has 31 catches for 5 TDs, he is on pace to have 80 receptions for 13 TDs all career highs for him, thats big numbers for a tight end in this league those other TEs like witten gates and gonzalez are used more as receivers since they arent at Heaths skill level as blockers, like I said, Haley is using him in the passing game more than usual, and he should have pro bowl numbers this year as well as his value in blocking...

if he's open 73 times a game , well, yea. why wouldn't you?

my point was that's less than 10% of the plays run go to the TE's. what's gronkowski and hernandez's percentage of their offense? heath, paulson and even our FB will johnson have to make up for our O-line woes. upgrade to o-line and i'll bet his catches and TD's go way up.

I counted like 11 passes to TE's. 9 to Heath if you count the 2-point conversion (he caught 7). 1 to Paulson and 1 to Will Johnson. I think 8-10 targets a game is about right for Heath.
