As I stated this will be the last time for these guys, they better have made this contract a good one.
The owners will start there own NFL school just as they are now, with the so called 15 or so refs
that are on on the sidelines. These refs will REPLACE under performing REFS at any time.
The owners will make all refs full time employee's and it will start like umpire school and build yourself
up to the NFL Level. The owners won't be backed into another corner like they were this time. There will be THOUSANDS
lining up to make half of what the current NFL refs are making. Go to any Sunbelt state/right to work
state and see it for yourself. THE RICH GET RICHER.

So, while these "students" go to "ref school" and learn the rules for 8 years (length of new contract) they will fire all the current refs and bring in these new guys that have zero NFL experience? Didn't that just end in disaster? Goodell and the league don't have the power to fire refs, so they would never be able to phase in these guys from ref school. They'd have to wait for the contract to expire and then bring them in. This idea will never happen. Negotiations are a part of life, contracts expire, new ones are established, the money the owners are shelling out for the referees is nothing for them. If the NFL was going to take this personal then why not start their own private minor league system and bring in players who will play for peanuts? After all, the current players cost them way more money in their lockout.
