Does this mean Rodgers will not be playing for the Steelers?

Everybody got mad at me before the draft when I said Pickens wasn't gonna be on the roster in September. Again.... I am the 2nd freakin' coming of Nostradamus. My predictions and prophecies of anything regarding Steelers are pure gold. I wish I could get paid for this. :lolol:

Not overly concerned. Name one wide receiver we've ever traded that didn't melt down for his new team. All the way back to 2000, every one has been a nightmare for his new team.

Quitting on this season, no other way to look at it. You did not make the team better right now and got very little compensation for next year.

Pickens was top 5 in yards before his injury in december,so you are wrong

Claypool had great number in the first 2-3 month in 2020 in his rookie season but after he was bad...In 2022,he was garbage with us

Do you think Pickens had anything to do with this? I wouldn’t put all the blame on the Steelers FO

Besides a few spectacular catches, Pickens is garbage. Quits on plays, doesn’t block, yeah sure wish we would’ve kept him, such a great team player. That kind of mentality is what is killing the Steelers

Id say that’s the Cowboys getting the better deal. Steelers should not have needed to give up a pick. Pickens by himself should have been able to secure a 3rd and 5th.

Tomlin will try to find away to get to .500 to keep his streak alive. At this point get a top 5 pick.

    Trade Pickens and fans complain

Pay Pickens $30 million per year on next contract and fans complain.

Tomlin is the common denominator. Time and the game has passed him

Yes, at first glance everything about this trade seems off. I had no desire to trade away GP at all. But....no need to jumping off bridges over this. Give the required time and we'll see then if this is a good or bad trade. WE don't know anything yet. Could be Pickens was telling them he plans to sit out unless certain conditions are met, so they traded him. WE don't know. Could be Kahn has another step already in motion with this plan that hasn't been said out loud yet. WE don't know. Roman Wilson, CA3, DK, Woods, and Skronkie may be the WR room and that's the plan. WE don't know. Give it some time before taking that leap.

Volunteers not hostages, the distraction in the locker room wasn't worth another year, gone.

Traded Pickens for a 3rd rounder looking to replace him w a 3rd rounder - Roman Wilson.

    Metcalf
    Roman Wilson
    R. Woods
    C. Austin
    Skowronek
    Lance McCutheon
    Roc Taylor
    Ke'shawn Williams

Opportunity for guys to step up,

It will settle down the locker room and create better team chemistry,

Given the way some of the Steelers wide receivers have performed after leaving, I am surprised they were able to get what they did. I had to go back to Mike Wallace to find one who did much after he left.
A third seems about right. They are only getting one year of Pickens under his existing contract.

AB is the true tragedy of the bunch. I put some credence into him having personality changes after Burfict laid him out unconscious. For about six years he was as good as it gets.p but he turned in to the King Jagoff.
