59 catches, 900 yards after missing 3 games.
That was with some 'iffy' QB play.

Dallas gets get. They are adding a high profile WR to help CeeDee Lamb, you can bet they'll figure how to fit Pickens in.
The 'Omar logic' is that we'll get a 3rd round pick... a friggin 3rd.
Also swap some positions, which would not surprise if they are down positions.

What are they doing? Tossing chicken bones in the sand and reading them for tips?

This was the most excited I've been to watch our offense in years because of how good DK and Pickens are. Man, I'm actually extremely pissed right now.

Holy ****, if he didn’t request a trade this move is even dumber.

The timing of the trade should have people more in ire than the trade happening itself. Having two number one WRs is much better than having a WR 1 and WR 2. The better question is who will be that WR 2?!

All eyes seem to be on CA III for he would be the likely answer. There is also Robert Woods but his production was woeful in Houston. Believing in Roman Wilson, coming off an injury, to make that level of a leap of faith would be questionable at best and foolhardy at worst.

    The move, as I see it, now places the hopes of the 2025 Pittsburgh Steelers under two areas;

1.) Pat Meyer: Less than stellar results since 2022.

2.) The Offensive Line: All of them. Doubly so though for Broderick Jones.

Not nearly as big of a leap of faith in terms of trusting Roman Wilson but a leap nonetheless.

The Steelers must continue their fire sale, otherwise this trade makes no sense. I wasn't against trading Pickens this offseason if the offer was good, but it isn't, and the timing (after the draft) is just awful.

The trade for the Seattle receiver in march makes even less sense now.

I gotta agree and I'm as confused as anyone..
Why is it that our coaches cannot make these guys work out?
And if they are in fact, unworkable, why the heck they drafting them? (Pickens was a Colbert pick, but Omar was the man in charge as Colbert was stepping back)

There's a problem here. Which is it? Coaching or Front Office? Art, we need you to step to the plate buddy.

I think T.J. himself might want out at this point. I wouldn't put it past him. Poor guy likely has had enough.

Actually this is not a bad point.
The more aggravating detail is they made such a move to get DK Metcalf... why even bother?
And as pointed out - The timing is just spectacularly atrocious. One of worst timed moves I've ever seen.... it's like Vinnie Cerrato is in our front office.

I’ll believe it when I see it

But if they do trade him it will be solely because they were unable to agree on a contract extension

And that is a very real possibility

And if that is the case it is better to have a draft pick next year than nothing

By yards he was only the 32nd ranked receiver and was possibly offered money accordingly and I suspect his ego would not accept that

Oh, I'm sure TJ ain't going nowhere. Seems like it's more important for him to finish his career as a Steeler than to win a Super Bowl. I'd rather they traded TJ than Pickens.

I'm having a hard time putting a positive spin on this..... I'm also having an equally hard time disparaging it as well....
I can't call this a win or loss until I see the real X factor in this.... that X factor being Roman Wilson's development.... he's being demonized for losing his "ROOKIE!!!!" season to injury.... he's going into year "2 !!!!"... he's still young and that year 2 leap is very much in play..... if that happens then we will all be singing a different tune on the Pickens trade, and we'll be calling Khan a genius again.......

Steelers weren’t paying him in 2026 and there’s 0 chance he is wanting to stay here. They got the value now vs getting nothing. We have 12 picks in next years draft. Calm down ppl. They will sign a WR2.

I had same thought that we'd have to great elite receivers but another fan mentioned this to me. There is only one ball and both those egos will want it. Probably would have been problematic for the Steelers.

Whoa, I expected to see something much better then a draft pick for him. This shocks me a bit.

Would be nice to see him get a playoff win. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening in Pittsburgh any time soon

Wow. Spent the last few months reading about how Pickens was a cancer, that we needed to get rid of him, that he was an immature hot head, etc... Now that everyone got their wish, it's time for rending of garments and gnashing of teeth.
    I love TSF. So predictable.

they could franchise him next year, so it wouldn't be for nothing. a 3rd round pick would be closer to nothing. wow. nothing surprises me from the group. if i were TJ i'd call off sick this year and wait for my payday. what is worse is jerry will actually look smart with this trade. we have been hearing this for awhile though. stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel.

All we had was a WR2 last year, Pickens.
This year at least they have a WR1.

There is really no positive spin to put on this. Pickens and Metcalf would have been a killer combo and trading Pickens for draft picks says you are not playing for this season.

I don’t know, maybe Rodgers said he is out and they made the decision to get something for Pickens now instead of nothing.

    1. That almost never happens. If he was worth it, they would sign him.

    2. 2026 picks are more valuable. They can and probably will be used to move up for a QB.

    3. No need. They are rebuilding. You take BPA in each round.
