The comeback had already started when the defense collapsed on the previous drive. The Steelers couldn't get a stop on third or fourth down, mostly because they stopped getting pressure against a team that was down to its fifth left tackle.

Say he does the right thing and throws that ball away. It is third-and-15 at the 36. At best, they get a short gain to set up a field goal and go up six, but the Jets still get the ball with plenty of time.

 

They are not a good football team. I don't understand where all the wishful thinking came from. I'm okay with Pickett starting moving forward. There's going to be mistakes for sure. But I don't think Trubisky is the answer and I'd prefer to see if Pickett has potential before the offseason. This is coming from a guy that was not necessarily a fan of taking Pickett in the first place with all of the other needs they have. In my opinion, this team was poorly constructed to being with, especially the interior lines.

Yes it was an ill advised throw and pick but the friggen defense just let them march right down the field. Both are to blame.

 

Kenny threw 3 pics, only one of which was on him, but he STILL had a higher passer rating than Trubisky. Mitch has always been a pussy. Can’t believe that guy is gonna be set for life and plays like a scared vagina.

Will be interesting to see if we can develop a talented rookie QB. I have doubts in general about our player development.

 

With or without Pickett the team sucks. Might as well get Pickett some reps and see what he has.

 

We can argue who the better QB is and who should be in there, but let’s not kid ourselves, it doesn’t matter who is in there, we get the SAME results…a loss

 

Defense blew this game. Defense is worse than the offense. Been saying it for past few games.

 

Why are you ignoring 1 int for Trubisky in 3 and 1/2 games and Kenny 3 ints in 1 half? Yes, I know the last one was a cheap one but even so, 2. I'm not saying Trubisky is better than Pickett, I want to see him in the game but let's not sit here and pretend he came in and was lights out. That was a pretty ugly debut overall, with some bright spots we can look forward to.
