That was not a good mark. They gave him an extra yard on third down. Of course, Fitzpatrick made them pay on fourth down. Ugh.

Third down play VWILL is guarding against what? Tackle eligible? I can't understand guys holding their spot when there is zero threat in it.

 

We rarely get holding calls. It's crazy.

 

Defenders are not going to dive at the QB in that situation.

 

The defense needs to step up and get a stop here. They also need to stop rushing just three on third down. That is a big part of why Fitzpatrick was able to scramble for enough to make going for it on fourth down a viable decision.

It sounds like they don't have a good enough view to overturn it. He was definitely short, but heaven forbid the Steelers ever get a break.
