Certainly not a fan of Rudolph but why does the "playing against back ups" knock go against Rudolph but not Trubisky? Weren't all three QBs playing against back ups? Trubs went against the same guys Pickett did theoretically.
I have no interest in doing the deep dive STD is about Trubs vs Rudolph but of those three QBs against Tampa Bay, Trubs looked the worst.
I have little problem with Trubs being the #2 but I feel he and Rudolph better be under the microscope in the 2 remaining preseason games.

This. That's all I'm asking.....or do we let our season go to hell for a few games if KFP gets hurt ....just because we are stuck with the Trubisky cap???

Actually, Rudolph came in later so he got the weaker competition. I'm not sure why that is so hard for you to understand, but you do have a tremendous habit of making yourself look bad in these discussions.

They already got their upgrade from Trubisky as a starter with Pickett. Jack would have been fine as a backup, but it made little sense to keep his contract as a backup. Also, quarterback and linebacker are completely different animals. That is yet another analogy by you that failed. Keep on flailing.

Rudolph came in later, so he got even worse competition. (I just posted that in a response to STD as well.) Also, using just one game to compare the two would be even dumber than STD's take, which uses all of Rudolph's career, but only last season and Friday for Trubisky. Last preseason, Trubisky did get time against starters. Rudolph only played against third and fourth-stringers, yet he was still the worst of the three quarterbacks in preseason.

Rudolph has never been a competent starter in the NFL. During his one shot, he was benched for Duck Hodges. (Cue somebody making a false claim that it was only because of injury. The first time Duck replaced him was due to injury, but they also benched Rudolph for poor performance later in 2019.)

LOL You actually think Rudolph is going to save them if Pickett gets hurt. That's really funny.

    Ye of little faith.
It's getting to the point of
YOU don't have faith in the entire organization over 1 player.

What.....not true. I've seen them do something close before. I do realize this team, and organizing I Love are stubborn at times, and won't admit they are wrong, and just go with what they do. T. Edmunds, J. Jones, and Z. Hood just to name a few....Doesn't mean I don't trust them just means I know on their few mistakes they will stick with them until they don't have to pay them.....unless the player forces their hand...It take nothing away from How I feel about the team, and organization. They've been like this for a long time.

Funny I have heard You say someone was brought back to quick from a concussion, but somehow Mason doesn't get this ....LoL. I do believe they didn't leave Hodges in the rest of the season.....so....I guess they went back to Mason.

That's your excuse? That he was suffering post-concussion syndrome for the rest of that season? I guess it lingered long enough for him to suck in that tie against the Lions, too?

I don't remember using post-concussion syndrome as a reason for poor performance. I have brought it up as a potentially life-threatening injury risk, but those aren't the same thing. Were you hoping I wouldn't notice the way you tried to misrepresent one of my arguments?

You don't think teams evaluate quarterbacks and linebackers differently?

Now you're just calling me stupid because I pointed out yet another flaw in one of your arguments? What have you got next in your elementary-school insult quiver? Are you going to call me a poopy head?

Once again, feigned laziness is not the winning move you think it is. You have no answer for what I wrote, so you pull out this nonsense. If you don't realize that teams evaluate quarterbacks and linebackers differently, you know even less about football than I thought. I buried your weak argument in facts and logic and your response was to lob a first grader's insult at me.

Didn't read. I'm bored with this. You know I equate this to if I kicked a dudes a$$ over ,and over eventually I just get tired of doing it, and I just walk away. I'm not gaining anything by it. So why bother.

You aren't gaining anything because you are the one on the receiving end of the ass kickings.

It's good that you can laugh at yourself. Then again, given the poor quality of what you post, I'm not sure you have much choice.

Agreed. I understand why people complain about the rule, but in this case, Alexander needs to do a better job getting his head on one side or the other of the ball carrier. It is for his own protection as much as anything.
