DVR'd it and just got done watching it not knowing anything. Enjoyable! Kenny impovizes as good as Burrow IMO and not far behind Mahommey. Thinking seriously about moving to Pittsburgh for the KP era. Good parts of town near lots of golf?

I'm a golfer but not living in Pittsburgh. I would think you'll need to move to a nice suburb if you want a decent golf course. I have family still in the Burgh and all they do is complain in the winter since they can't golf. I'm about 350 miles south east from Pittsburgh and we generally have decent winters. I golfed all winter and hoping for another great one here.

LoL . No I want Pickett. I just think the organization needs to realize, and not be stubborn....that Mason is a better backup than Trubisky. As a Steelers Qb it's not close. Everything we've seen in last years preseason, and so far this preseason shows it...., but like KG, T. Edmunds, Jarvis Jones, and others we've seen...shows this organization can be stubborn, and not willing to admit they made mistakes.

Move to Cranberry Township, only 20 minutes from the Stadium but much lower taxes.

They drafted Rudolph and argued that he could be a potential replacement for Roethlisberger. Aren't they admitting a mistake by giving up on him even as a No. 2 quarterback?

He isn't good. A few nice throws in preseason don't change that. He limits what he offense can do with his struggles throwing to the sideline. He showed that again last night, too, when he had Austin wide open on his first play and missed badly. Yes, he made a heck of a throw on the seam route to Heyward. The touchdown to Austin was as nice ball, but any NFL quarterback has to make that throw. He was wide open behind everybody. I'd be very concerned if Pickett had the same opportunity and missed it. Trubisky has shown he can make those throws, too. Based on the entire resume, not a performance against scrubs. Trubisky is the better quarterback. It isn't a huge gap. I could see Rudolph winning the No. 2 job if what we saw last night continues, but it is not unreasonable to go with Trubisky as No. 2 for now. Remember, the entire league passed on Rudolph. No other team wanted him as its backup this offseason. He had to come crawling back to the Steelers, an organization he clearly wanted to leave. That should tell you the Steelers aren't the only team that sees him as nothing more than a No. 3.

LoL. Can't have a serious conversation with a Trubisky lover. LoL. So what's it say when a team drafts a guy number 2 overall, and just let's him go??? I'll tell You ....He sucks. I also don't remember the Bills doing anything to try ,and keep him as a backup....why ....because He sucks.
Not one thing He has done since being a Steeler shows He better than Mason....not one...anyone with eyes to see can tell You that.....not stats, not wins...in regular season, or preseason. Only stubborn people will not admit this...., and as much as I love this organization.....they are stubborn when they make a move, and don't want to look like they were wrong. KG, J. Jones, T. Edmunds, and now Trubisky all come to mind. ...., but You go ahead, and live in your illusion.
Edit: That sounds like an attack on You..., and I'm sorry....I should be nicer how I say things.

I knew. I was just messing with you. I wonder how many times I've done it. The emojis need to be more pushed away. Or all the negative on the right and all positive on left.

I'm far from a Trubisky lover. I'm not a fan of either guy at this point. This is Pickett's team and we are wasting quite a bit of bandwidth on two guys I hope we don't see take a significant snap all season.

Actually, he played against starters while Rudolph only faced third-stringers last preseason and Trubisky was still better. He had a few decent games when the team needed him to fill in last year. He also struggled as the starter and cost the team dearly with three awful interceptions against the Ravens. Neither guy is good enough to be a starter. Trubisky at least gives them a shot if he has to fill in. The guy is erratic.

I continue to reject your premise that the entirety of their careers doesn't matter. It does. Anyone who isn't trying to construct a faulty argument in favor of Rudolph sees that.

Burying either quarterback is admitting a mistake. I'm not sure why you don't see that. Oh, wait. Actually, I do. That does sound like a bit of a dig at you, but hey, despite the apology at the end, your post has multiple digs at me, so I think a little poke back is fair.

The cries last year that Pickett locks in on one receiver and will never be a QB1 can be put to rest. I really liked what I saw last night on that front.

I never believed that. I seen Him look off Guy last year, and scan the field. Yes if Your 1st read is open .....You will be looking at Him as You throw it.

Exactly. That particular knock against Pickett was pure nonsense.

Hello again yinz gize I was having the respectful conversation with over at the Snoop thread. Talking about Mason's bad sideline throw to Austin somebody said Trubisky is better at that. I guess they missed his first throw of his second possession where he threw a good 10 feet short of White on the sideline and right into the hands of the defender.

I'm not sure why you are dragging that to another thread instead of responding to it there, but you missed the point. This is an ongoing limitation for Rudolph, the inability to hit intermediate sideline throws. It allows the defense to focus less on that area of the field. It isn't about one throw. It is about something he has shown to be a weakness for years.

Trubisky is erratic, but not nearly as limited as Rudolph.

It is all in the feet, I am shocked that someone in MR early career did not work with him
on this important fundamental. He is a stiff

He's a guy that can do some things, but everything has to be good around him for the most part.

You are correct about his footwork. It has always been his problem. He just doesn't have quick feet to get in the right position to make throws when the pocket is muddled and he has to move off his spot. If everything is good around him and in a clean pocket, he can get things done. The problem is that things aren't often like that in game conditions. If his feet aren't set and in position, his throws tend to be off target and without enough velocity. He can still be a good backup QB, but he doesn't have enough talent to be a starting quarterback.

So funny. Mason completes 7- 12 with a td, and people say He had only one good throw, and has bad feet.
Trubisky completes one throw the entire time...has a int on a way way under thrown ball, and has one thrown ....not at someone's feet, but so far away I can't tell who He was throwing at....and people say He's better....LoL....LoL.....can you say.....I hate being wrong out loud 3 times. LoL. Because that's what this is. People don't want to admit they were wrong.
