The MT special 9-8 we can have it no other way. If KP improves more than expected they could win 10.

The offense has to prove it can score TDs and throw the ball downfield for chunk plays.

Im worried about the secondary overall. A lot is riding on an over the hill PP and Rookie who appears raw.

Even if Pickett doesn’t progress I still see us at 11-6 based on the following reasons:

    1. Relatively easy schedule
    2. Healthy Watt for a full year.
    3. Based pn how we finished last year.
    4. Strong run game carrying over should get even stronger.
    5. Added talent to the roster.

Kenny has shown some awesome attributes - nerves of steel and late game comebacks, student of the game and desire to get better. I would take those attributes over a more talented QB physically anyday.

Most of our games are going to be close. If Kenny can continue to show the ability to win late game drives that will be huge.

I'm thinking 10-7. I see the team making a legit leap from folks screaming "lucky wins" to the team performing fairly well. But I also think we see some growing pains. I bet next season will be the 11-6, 12-5 record we've been dreaming of. I really, really liked the draft and appreciate the core we've built. #InKhanWeTrust

I also see a big season coming up. Maybe 14-3 but I'll go with 12-5 for now.

I feel like it has the makings of a 10-7 team I would expect them to improve over 9-8 a year ago.

Could make 11-6, anything higher than that would shock me especially with how good the AFC should be.

There is no excuses on Offense. But in the NFL it matters where your QB takes you above all else.

Kenny Pickett must move his game to the next level, if he can't go next level, you can't out duel the Joe Borrow's, Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes of the AFC.

Matt Canada has to put up or shut up. between FA and drafting, the offense has the makings to be good.

We’ll, there have been more than a couple of Canada
3 teams in the NFL averaged 27 points a game last year, KC, Philly, and Buffalo, so it's kind of unreasonable to expect a 9 point jump in ppg in one season. I'll take a 5-6 point jump and the playoffs, top seed as a wild card, and a win over the South winner.

I predicted 10 last year... and was only off by 1 win. I'm predicting 11 this year, but Steelers will do their usual losing to a couple of teams they shouldn't lose to.

I think they go 1-2 in west coast games and lose a couple to below average teams. But, I think they will surprise and beat some teams that are considered better (Bengals).

I'm thinking/wishing that also. Kenny was cut loose on final drives to win games. No governor or guide rails this coming season; otherwise, Steelers will be hampered in the season and have to wait until the three season with next contract negotiations after that.

this is about where I am. I'd bet Vegas has us at 9.5 to 10, i have not looked yet (but will next....)

AFCN will be competitive, tough. Can we split with Balt and Cincy - maybe. CLE is no walk in the park either. Can Canda-duh be better? I am not sure.....

(EDIT - Vegas has us at 8.5, I should call and take the over......but they are not sold yet, that is for sure)

I agree more with the optimists.

    Upside: max 14-3

    Downside: min 11-6

I here you but we have essentially improved our roster nearly across the board with the exception of slot cb. ILB remains to be seen as well. We had 9 wins last year with Pickett as a rookie and a tougher schedule. The Ravens are in a transition with their new offense. It remains to be seen if Lamar will be as good in the new system. Cleveland has gotten weaker on defense and in the run game. Watkins is the wild card there. Cincinnati is legit. But you look at the rest of our schedule outside of SF and Jacksonville and there really isn’t a team that scares me.

Pickett has a year under his belt plus a whole offseason. We beefed up the line and found our identity with the run game in the second half of the season. To me the real key here is gonna be how our run defense holds up because we will be going against a lot of run teams. I think Tomlin saw the teams on our schedule and realized the importance in beefing up the interior this year.

If we win less than 10 games this year it will either be because Pickett hasn’t progressed, The ILB acquisitions didn’t pan out or Canada under coaches the offense or we get hit with a lot of injuries.

I don't expect them to average 27 points, but I expect more wins, teams that average 27 points have elite QBs Bengals, Chiefs, and Bills.
