Keep enjoying mediocrity bud. God forbid a fan isn’t happy with 3 playoff wins in 12 years. Guess I’ll go watch some NFL Films highlights from 60 years ago :thumbs up:

I think I see JEH in the stands. He was around 55 then.

    But We don't need CBs.
Should be in green, but I'm lazy.

A deep statement of truth. Greatness to some is non losing and moot seasons (8-8) The new Standard

I'm hoping that with Khan and Weidl at the helm they continue to rebuild a roster to bring them into playoff wins and beyond. They already have scrapped the conservative approach. And I feel they are not done. Looking forward to the draft.

I am still concerned about Canada and if he can actually move away from his Saturday playbook.

I think the minimum success the Steelers should have this upcoming season is a playoff berth and playing a competitive game once they get there. Anything less than that will be a disappointment.

I heard something yesterday that has Me even more worried. I heard that Frielend(spelling:shrug:) lady on NFL Network said PP gave up more yards of separation than most CBs last year, and She didn't understand Steelers going with Him.
I don't care what she thinks, but the other part makes Me even more worried.....Did anyone else hear this???

Yes I saw this. Cynthia said that the average separation was 2.4 yards when in single high coverage. She said that Peterson is coming off of his 2nd best season ever and is still a good CB but he was rated the 40th best corner in single high coverage. She stated that he was a puzzling signing by the Steelers because their defensive scheme calls for a lot of single high coverage. But she is the NFL analytics experts and that sometimes doesn't measure up to what your eyes tell you on the field.

Interesting. I could see Peterson eventually making the switch full time, he has the right attitude and willingness to do so. At 33 though I’m not sure how much longer he’d get even after making the switch. Buys a little time though.

As for those other options, free agent pool is drying up, better hurry.

But the Steelers don't have much at the CB position.

Taylor Rapp is now gone as well; something that pisses me off. That would have been a great get. Ronnie Harrison could be an option. Maybe John Johnson?! Not a lot to pick from.

$10 states they will opt for one in the draft. Who though remains to be seen. Ji'Aiyar Brown from Penn State could be a good option in Round Four.

Yeah, I saw he was signed earlier. Very doable contract, too.

Maybe Eric Rowe, Steelers had him in for a pre draft visit. They do love to get those players they scouted at a later date.

Several of you beat me to it but I was going to ask about PP playing some safety like Charles and Rod Woodson did towards the back end of their career.

I’m worried about this signing too due to his deteriorating speed. But the notion of moving him to “safety” only means Free Safety and they ALREADY have two with Fitzpatrick and Kazee. They don’t need a third…!

With so many needed ingredients and so little money for groceries - this is why I have been harping about this signing and so frustrated with how they’ve managed the cap with all the the rookie deals at such normal high paid positions. They should have been more flush and able to sign a couple better players and get Highsmith locked down without having to mortgage the future with restructures to even get part of it done in a patch work manner.

This PP signing gives me agita and I only liked it if we retained Sutton or brought in a different replacement with better youthful skills. Ramsey comes to mind.
