He was 30 for 51. He had 7 passes defensed (knocked down). 4-5 others were bad throws because someone was in the process of hitting him when he threw. Yeah, he missed a wide open Sanders for a TD, but many of his "missed" passes were under duress.

I don't want to get to far ahead of ourselves.

I didn't give us much of a chance to win against Buffalo yesterday. But, if your going to catch a team off its week one.

That 10-0 half time lead felt like 30-0 at halftime.

Defense is legit, one of the top units in the league.

Offense is going to be a work in process. But your starting 4 rookies a lot of time. two linemen with only basically 1.5 years of starting time between Chuks and Dotson. Only vet is Turner and heck he is new to the team.

Special teams, Boswell terrific, Harvin wasn't great on the shank punt, Kickoff coverage terrible to start the game, but huge play on the blocked punt.

I think it will get better for them. Great catches by Claypool and Johnson yesterday.

They couldn't run but they still didn't abandon it, at least Najee picked up some short yardage 1st downs.

Yet just last week when I said I wasn't sold on J. Allen half the board thought that was funny, and I didn't know what I was talking about.
The Thing is ...is I don't jump all over a Qb for one great year. In all reality most of the time You really don't see what a Qb is about till they been paid, and the team can't afford 2 keep half the team, and no big time free agents

I'm thrilled with how well the D played yesterday. Some room for improvement, sure, but a lot to be excited about.

How the Steelers will perform during the early stages of this season will greatly assist the maturation and cohesion of the Offensive Line. Continuity matters for sure but also overcoming struggles in the early portions of the game. That is not going to change as there is too many new variables that were not and still currently are not being accounted for.

One way to originally accelerate cohesion within any newcoming Offensive Line?! Win but tough it out for the win. The more gritty these wins for this young unit, the better it will severe everyone on Offense later in the season.

That is fair, but credit the pass rush by the Steelers for at least some of those missed throws. The early deep ball to Sanders is one he should hit, but some of the other throws, he was off because he was under pressure.

Allen was under pressure all night and he still wasn't bad. Some people, and apparently you are one of them, are being fooled by the one missed throw to Sanders.

Did you watch the game ???
    One missed pass??? LoL.
Why oh why does Ben just miss passes, but all other Qbs miss passes with added excuses.
    You know what ....???
    Don't answer that.
Because I don't want 2 have the goal post moved 20 times, and You 2 change everything up 20 times. Forget I even answered You.

That's part of it but a lot of people overrated him and the bills from 1 season. My take if you look it up before the game was I'm taking Pitt in the upset primarily because I'm not buying into the Allen and bills hype. Either Miami or NE will win that division.

I'm not going to overreact due to the fact I don't believe in Allen or Buffalo but it was an impressive win. The defense will be a force. The offense still has a lot to be desired.
