Steelers Restructure LaMarr Woodley's Contract

    Jim Wexell reports that Woodley's contract has been restructured this morning. I don't have the exact figures yet, but I'll update when I do. The preliminary numbers have the deal clearing $4.05M in cap room this year.

    I was wondering about this very thing this morning. With free agency starting tomorrow I was thinking it was about time to do something with Woodley if they were going to.

    After restructuring, his cap number this year drops from $13,240,000 to $9,190,000. $5.4M of his $9M base salary was converted into a signing bonus, which will be prorated over the remaining four years of his contract.
