So while other teams are making a BANG we are getting a whimper? The only thing better would be if we drafted a guy named Kerpulk. That wa y while other teams are making a splash we are.... well you get the jist

I think he earned a shot to come back again. Everyone crapped all over his and Wallaces signing...yet both played quite well once they settled in.

Yup. Whimper is a cheap, depth move. Risk free re-signing.

YEAH MAC maybe we can split a room at the super bowl if we book early... bet glenn is so excited over this signing... signing him will keep us a .500 team again .. maybe .. he is a year older though... maybe 7-9

He provides quality depth............for the ticket holders if one of the turnstiles breaks.

Uh oh, gonna hit the fan now, they aren't signing all pros at every position and future HOF back ups, damn them, damn them to hell!

    Lol.

He's clearly not being signed as a starter. A seasoned vet as an option on the line, supplemented by the younger guys (Beachum etc.), plus perhaps a draft pick... I don't see what's not to like.

There is little point in signing a big money OL free agent, as their price is usually way over their worth. (With the possible exception of Joe Thomas, perhaps, if he was on the market).

Scratch O line off the draft board! OK maybe not, but I do think that bringing Whimper back under a 1 year deal was a good utility signing. You need backups, and he was a solid fill in when we needed to be.

seriously whimper played ok last year. his fit if they go to the inside and outside zone though is iffy and no we definately won't scratch o-line off the draft boards thats for sure. i'm sure munch and MT don't just go to these highly prized pro days of top linemen just for spring break, but who knows. maybe thats their thing. spring break in michigan whoop whoop!!!:rawk::cool:

Nothing to see here, just a camp body.

Except he's not. He made the roster last year.

He did make the roster, but if Embernate hadn't blown a knee he would have been on the street.

Hard to say. I was just clarifying. Normally he'd be considered a "camp body" type signing, no doubt.

Not exactly keeping up with the Broncos and Patriots with these signings.

This is why I have no CONFIDENCE in KC/MT.
We can do better, we must do better.
