Gifted a game from the Patsies with five turnovers. Will the ball continue to roll the Steelers' way with these kind of numbers? When does the "historic" defense show up? What was Tomlin talking about?

The steelers had a similar start in 2023 so it's nothing new.The Steelers can improve, but if they don't, it'll be a 9-8 type team at best with a negative point differencial again... I don't think Rudolph will be the savior again.

win loss column is the only stat that matters. Tomlin does not care.

Better would be better but facts are facts

A big improvement for the offense is red zone TD's. They are 7 out of 8, putting them 2nd in the league in redzone TD percentage. It would be a perfect 100% if not for the CA3 aided interception in the endzone. Rodgers may be old and slow, but he still knows how to score TDs when given the chance. Now they need to figure out how to get there more often.

    those rankings are called SUCK.

We have played weak teams, hence - we have 2 wins.

    the SUCK will catch up

So the Seahawks weren't gifted a tip pass from a td to a int, or a RB that didn't know if it touched you you should get on the ball, and a free td.
How is it when we get turnovers it's a gift, but when the other team gets turnovers it's because they are good. Some of you don't understand consistency.
My favorite answer is.....I don't judge the Steelers by other teams. LoL....LoL.
Then what do you judge them by the void???

When I read it I was thinking the Running Back or Wide Receiver handed us the ball.:smiley1:

Still looking for the fumbles where no defender touched the ball. Those would be "gifts". All others are earned by the defense. It's why they are called "forced fumbles".

How are they going to improve on defense? Getting Elliot and jp jr back? Creating some exotic blitz packages? Austin hasnt done anything like that up to this point. Maybe learn to tackle better? (In mid season?) Easy to say they need to improve but how?

im afraid that what we’ve seen from the D is more or less what they will be for the rest of the season. Maybe getting the DB’s back will help a little

I have more hope that the O line will get better over the course of the season

At the end of the day, 2 things are all that matters. Making the playoffs and playing well in the playoffs. If we win the SB with a 14 and 3 regular season record, does that mean anything more or less than winning the SB with an 8 and 9 regular season? Nope. That trophy would still go to the Steelers.

We have played terribly for the last 10 years in the playoffs. But, for 7 of those 10 years we have been in the game post season. Getting to the playoffs does not seem to be our problem. Doing well in them is the issue. We need to figure out how to get our stars to the playoffs without being injured or worn out. We are masters at squeaking out a win in the regular season, but we have been getting humbled in the playoffs.

So our current ranking does not bother me too much. When we have been ranked high, we still seem to barely win or barely lose most games. So I don't think the ranking matters overly much. They do find a way to get it done in the regular season. We need to carry that 'git er dun' into the post season.
