The Steelers have hired former St. Louis Rams director of football operations Samir Suleiman. His newly created, official position will be "football administrator coordinator", but his hiring appears to be a move to 'add depth' behind Omar Khan, who will likely land a GM spot somewhere one of these days. The article says that Suleiman used to be a consultant for the Steelers from July 2011 to August 2012.

good move. nice depth guy. his 40 was a little slow but if he works out at those luncheons then we should be fine.

we could always cut colbert, he's missed on a few drafts and is getting older. i'm not sure he's worth his contract anymore. omar could then find em, sign em and cut em. he's the next man up.;)

This is what I'm thinking too, Mac. I know he's struggled with power lunches in the past, but if Colbert can't make a dinner meeting...Suleiman is your man.

on a serious note, this is why we are fans of the best organization in football. most teams would wait until they lose their top guy before hiring someone. now this guy can learn from the best
