Exactly! That problem lives through out corporate America, the military, police and fire departments. People can be good at their jobs standing on their own and still have that flaw. MT in my opinion. I've always thought he was a good head coach, good motivator but he never surrounded himself with the best people available. It kept him from being great. I'm retired now but I learned in my younger days that you have to be secure enough to allow yourself to be challenged by your subordinates. Another reason he has basically no coaching tree. I hope MM knows that well. If I'm a team leader in any field, I want the best on my team. I don't want yes men just to so I can feel more secure.
