154 yards on the ground will help any rookie QB.

Picket 16/28 for 197. 7.0 yards per attempt. Little better.

Again, he left a couple of throws out there, but he has dramatically cut down on the mistakes.

No turnovers in 4 straight games. That's impressive for any rookie.

Picket is definitely getting better. Needs better touch on the deep pass and he'd start rocking.

Our kicking really came through today. Wright 4-4 on FG's and Harvin with the killer punt that basically ended the game.

Better blocking will help. I see improvements with the OL. Let’s see how much this team improves over the course of this season.

Looking at the the replay on that punt, you can appreciate what a great punt that was. He made contact with the tip of the ball. A little off and that would have been a shank

Ya... poor KP seems to get nailed hard pretty regularly.

Nice to see Pickett's passer rating go up every week if you look at just the past 6 games. Very weirdly consistent.

    90.9
    87.5
    85.9
    79.7
    66.9
    66.2

And the 3 games prior to that streak his rating increased 3 weeks in row (before a big drop). So almost a 2 steps up and 1 down scenario, but a little better. Can't complain too much about that.

Good win! I could only see part of the first quarter and most of the second. KP hit most everything in stride but was off on a few throws. Actually liked most of the offensive playcalling. I like Simms in the horizontal run game but it's a little telegraphed if; 1) he's running it every time he seems to be in the game and; 2) he's the only one running the motion. Muth and Heyward made clutch catches. Seems like Pickens was on the sideline for much of the second quarter (I remember a camera view of them just looking at him for about 10 seconds between a few plays) while Dj's out on the field dropping ball after ball. Kinda puzzling!

    Either way, a win's, win's, a win!

    rookies best friend

and his worst enemy is PRE SNAP BS PENALTIES. suck suck suck.
good game, winning is better than losing, but more lack of attention to details , a Tomlin trait. VERY LUCKY the PI was not called on Maulett or this board would have a totally different tone. We lucked one out today...

and the right call by MT to punt the ball there late. Old MT would have tried some 55 yard FG, we would have missed it and then ATL would have tied it up and that game would have gone to OT hell.....

They've already improved a ton. Not quite there yet, but it is very encouraging to see. I'm glad we are winning games the way we are. This feels very similar to the 2013 season and the end of this year can build a lot of confidence for our young rookie. If we draft well and sign a good player or two, we could go into next season with some expectations of being competitive.

I like when we have under 30 pass attempts, this us a winning combination. You throw the ball more than that likely a loss, plus wear and tear on your Qb

It was all around solid game by everyone even the coaches. So many fans showed up too.

even the refs chipped in by overturning 18s fumble, and not calling PI in the EZ.

solid effort by pretty much anyone involved in the game.

It wasn’t perfect, but I don’t think we should expect that right now.

If Boz was in the game, Tomlin would have tried the kick.
