The Steelers have extended Kevin Colbert through 2018.

This will mean nothing if they don't win the HOF game.

I wonder why? Bell, AB, DeCastro, Bryant, Cam? Pretty good names to have on a resume. Wouldn't you say?

    GREAT.
This has bust written all over it, but I can't come up with someone to replace him either.

    <Mod Edit> Let's...stay on topic, please.

I have no problem with extending Colbert and Mike Tomlin, but also notice neither of these extensions were super long. Tomlin had just 2 years added and Colbert through just 2018. Leaving some flexibility.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Colbert retire at that point.

    you're good TTF
the roll the eyes were about me, typing what I typed.
I joking said HI5 kind of like in a celebratory way for the change you wanted.
    Yes HI5 sure had a double meaning(jokingly)
I really would never be disrespectful, but I can't help being sarcastic.
I haven't figured out where the green ink goes in on my laptop.

No need to explain. I thought we were just having some witty banter. :)

The Rooneys have thrown down the gauntlet..... when a super bowl or we will start all over from the ground up!!!

Tomlin paid like a superbowl champ thru 2018. Colbert extended until after the 2018 draft. BEN is signed but after 2018 the cap saving we'll get by cutting him is HUGE.

If we don't win a superbowl in the next 3 yrs Expect wholesale changes.

If the Steelers continue to have a winning record, win some playoff games but no SB's, Rooneys will not cut ties with those two men.

And I don't know how you predict Ben being cut when we dont even have a replacement yet.

I don't see any of those predictions coming true.

Lets hope him and his scouts have learned to evaluate the OL and CB position, wishful thinking. And to not overpay for mediocre talent.

It's in the realm of possibilities, speculation sure but these coincidences in contracts aren't coincidental.
