The interview is practically the only thing left that is worthwhile from the combine. QBs don't throw anymore, RBs don't run, and some teams don't even bother to show up. More and more it's about pro days where teams can ask players to do specific things that are beyond the structure of the combine.

My point it was clowns on X looking for clicks say Lemon bombed his interviews, teams can form their own opinion when he takes his pre-draft 30 visits.

Easiest way to get a guy you want to drop in the draft is to start a rumor. Teams start second-guessing themselves if they are not truly convinced of the guy.

If you were thinking dual Ramseys in the secondary, thing again....

Safety isn't usually a highlighted position among a draft class. It will be this year, particularly with Ohio State's Caleb Downs included as the No. 1 overall prospect, per the Bleacher Report Scouting Department. The group's composition has hurt Kamari Ramsey's status throughout this process. Ramsey hasn't entirely helped himself, either.

The amount of athleticism and explosiveness seen among this particular position group was outstanding at the combine in Indianapolis. Ramsey didn't do poorly. At the same time, a few safeties blew the doors off of Lucas Oil Stadium.

Athletic testing is different than on-field movement, though. Ramsey's biggest issues revolve around lateral burst and being exposed in that regard, which can be a detriment for any safety. It didn't help that Ramsey's own teammate, Bishop Fitzgerald, outplayed him this past season. Fitzgerald became a consensus All-American.

Ramsey's slide is due, in part, to circumstances out of his control. Although, he could have performed better throughout the process to retain the high standard for which he was originally regarded. Instead, he now finds himself outside of B/R's top-five safety prospects.

they are looking heavy at Bud Clark and i hope they get him. i said it from the start he is probably the best true free safety safety in this draft. i sure hope they nab him and don't wait too long and miss out. FS is a position they need to strengthen on that back end for the future.

SS well this again may be a position to strengthen for the future. castro is here. we lost him for a short while last year only to bring him back. his speed is the only concern. the instincts are there.

    double dip safety.

ILB is also a position of need with a couple of good ones in this draft. we have visited with them. well ones not named sonny.

No I want to send the coaches that will have to teach this kid. If he turns out to be a nut, it is the coaches, and not the scouts that will have to deal with this kid.

I am assuming that is why Tomlin always sent his coaching staff to these Pro Days, so they could get a better feel for these kids.

USC did Ramsey no favors this season they had him play slot most of last season, then he suffered an injury.

The Steelers should have another good draft. They should be able to trade up a few spots each round from their draft capital, or trade back to get 2027 picks.

I still hold out hope that Kadyn Proctor is brought in for a Pre Draft Visit. That said, the Alabama Pro Day is less than a week away so who knows?! Interesting though the team hasn't had more Guard Prospects in though I would suspect much of them were already vetted through during the combine.

Why not trade a huge package to go up to #1 overall and take Mendoza? I see everyone talking about how the class isn't a good qb class and how we'll be picking too low next year for one of the good qbs next year.

We'll you have draft capital this year. You have young promising guys that you can include.

Why not try and trade something like:

    1st 2026
    1st 2027
    1st 2028
    2nd 2026
    3rd 2026
    3rd 2027
    Joey Porter Jr

And go up and get Mendoza. Maybe the Raiders won't move the pick, but go try.

No way he gets past Ravens at #14. They also need a center but there are no Rd1 centers in this class. So you're gonna need a plan B.

I wanted to share my thoughts on our strategy for the upcoming 2026 draft.

Regarding our #21 pick, I don't believe there is a three-down linebacker available at that spot who meets our needs. While safety is a priority, it should not take precedence over a quarterback!

I recommend targeting Simpson in the first round, as he likely won't be available by the second. Since there are no "sure things" at pick #21, I believe our best approach is to focus on inside linebacker and safety with one of our three third-round picks to secure the chess pieces we need.

Overall, I am very pleased with our free agency moves and the offseason so far. Upgrading our Head Coach, OC, and DC has been done

As you stated we have good players at WR2 and CB2. And upgraded the RB spot with a RB1. Wow.

    Basically you are correct.

What good is Mendoza if you gut the team to trade for him, the Raiders wouldn't trade the pick anyway.

I think the Ravens go WR or OL in the first round, that's why it sucks that Crosby trade fell through.
