According to the NFL, the Steelers can clinch a playoff birth this weekend with:
    Victory over the Ratbirds.
Raiders loss to the 3-7 Falcons. and
    Miami loss to 0-10 Jets.

No other team can clinch this week.

What tie-breakers will the Steelers clinch vs the Raiders or/and Dolphins?

Yep. Ain't gonna happen. And what's the point anyway? Clinching a playoff spot tomorrow means less than nothing. Talk to me when winning the conference is on the table.

What a weird paradox this season has been. I guess par for the course with all the 2020 weirdness. The past 2 seasons failing to make the playoffs all together and keeping everyone on the edge of seats up to the last game only to be let down massively. Of course Ben is back, Claypool is showing out, the WR group may be the best out there. The LBs and DL are playing lights out. But the personnel on the field isn't vastly different from a year ago with the exception of the sh!tshow they had at QB. Why is it so night and day this year?

I think that 2020 is centered in Tomlin's wheelhouse. The world finally makes as little sense as his press conferences.

Let's all wear masks like China has been for decades even though the virus came from there and spread like wildfire while they were wearing masks.

There's nothing perfect about us but our record. We're not perfect. We haven't won anything yet. But we don't lose. We unleash hell on the lab when we go back to work being singularly focused as a group of men who play as one, collectively, with individual jobs and roles. We are trying to go 1-0 this week. And next week we will focus on the task at hand of putting together a win streak to be 1-0. That's the mentality that we have.

I will not confirm that. But I will definitively state it. My focus is on the task at hand and I do not hand over that task lightly, but with a heavy hand that gives begrudgingly, fighting for every inch. Because you can take the man out of the mountain, but you can make a mountain out of a molehill. And just like this team is flying under the radar, so does a mole burrow underground. Poor Joe Burrow. His injury is a lesson to us all and it lessons the injury the Bengals could give us during the rematch. But that is not up for discussion because we are singularly focused on the Ravens this week. We won't discuss or concern ourselves with the Bengals, or Burrow, or their uniforms, or their record. I don't even think they've made a record. I'm not sure what label would even be interested in signing them at this point with all the Covid restrictions and the recording booths being so small. But small is what our losses are if small is nothing. Usually, small means something, of which we don't have any, as it pertains to losing. But mark my words, we have lost. So that's why we are only concerning ourselves with the Baltimore Ravens and a key, AFC North battle coming up. Nothing else will distract us from the task at hand. It's Ravens week...or half week. Any questions?

Not sure if this will command an ESPY, a RAZZY, an EMMY, a TONY, a HUGO or a Nobel, but it deserves recognition in some corner of the universe.:drinks:

Took a while for me to find it, but here's the reasoning:

Assuming the other 5 teams are:KC, Cleveland, Indy, Buffalo, and Tenn-

Under those circumstances, there would be three teams after week 12 who are 6-4: Ravens, Miami, Raiders. Worst case scenarios and all that, If you include the Steelers, only two of the four teams could qualify for the playoffs.

Steelers lose all 5 games, finish 11-5.

Ravens win all 5 games, finish 11-5.

Raiders and Miami play week 16, so only 1 can be 11-5 (or both can be 10-5-1).

Miami wins, goes to head to head tie-breaker WITHIN division first. Steelers eliminate Ravens. Then they screw around with tie breakers regarding Miami and Ravens.

    Raiders wins, See above.

Technically, NE and Denver are still alive, but can at best have 10-6 records so with a win this week they can not catch us.
