I didn't pimp him. I wanted Linderbaum. I have not only pointed this out to you repeatedly, I have dug up the evidence in the past, too. I didn't hate the Pickett pick, but was primarily happy it wasn't Willis, who was a bust with the Titans.

Try again. An ankle injury cost him a month late in his second season. When the Eagles turned to him to fill in for Hurts the following year, he got hurt. When the Browns traded for him and gave him a chance to compete for the job last year, he missed most of the preseason with another injury. There were also multiple concussions as a Steeler that cost him games.

That and Tomlin's ridiculous mishandling of him derailed Pickett's career.

I'm telling you what my personal evaluation of him was. There is no hindsight about it in regard to how I felt about him or had him graded.

I don't think he was ever considered a late round QB by anyone. It's just that most who had him being drafted that high felt that it was because it was a weak quarterback class and a team was stretching a bit, not because he was an elite talent. As I said, I thought they should have waited until the second round to take him even if they had to move up. I thought they should have used the first pick for a potential impact player because I didn't see value in Pickett at that point of the draft.

Pimped him as in you felt he was the best QB in the class. Do you dent that?

Whats going on with you, you never used to spew so much BS.

    • 2022 (Concussions): Pickett suffered two separate concussions in his rookie season (Week 6 vs. Bucs, Week 14 vs. Ravens), causing him to miss time.
    • 2023 (Knee/Bone Bruise): Left the Week 4 game against the Texans with a knee injury, diagnosed as a bone bruise.
    • 2023 (Ribs): Sustained a rib injury in Week 8 against the Jaguars, though he did not miss a start.
    • 2023 (High Ankle Sprain/Surgery): Suffered a right ankle injury in Week 13 against the Cardinals, requiring surgery to repair a high ankle sprain.
    • 2024/2025 (Preseason Hamstring): While with the Cleveland Browns in 2025, sustained a hamstring injury in late July, limiting his practice time in training camp.
These arent career altering injuries, they are basically injuries every player deals with. His biggest injury was the ankle injury. That didnt lead to him losing his job, he lost his job because they saw how well the offense ran under Rudolph highlighting how awful Pickett had been playing. I would have liked to see how he would have done without Canada too but I think they saw all they had to see when Rudolph was in there and you know Im no fan of Rudolph as a QB.

Why would you even mention the injury with the Eagles, did you think he would wrestle the job away from Hurts if he didnt get injured :lolol:

What's going on with you? I don't remember you claiming that I was spewing BS, then providing evidence to support my claim.

I mention the injury with the Eagles because it was the first time he played in a decent system in the NFL and he had a chance to develop his game and show something for another team as Darnold did with the 49ers. I thought that was obvious.

Injuries cost Pickett the opportunity to finish out the 2023 season without the shackles of the Matt Canada offense. The offense looked much better with Pickett as soon as Canada was gone. The injury with the Eagles cost him a few starts in a competent NFL offense, something he didn't get in Pittsburgh. The injury in Cleveland kept him out of the entire preseason, cost him his shot at that job.

I "spewed" accurate information. Thank you for helping back that up.

Well if you ask some here Tomlin/Canada mishandled him so badly he was no longer able to be fixed

It’s easier for some like Scribble to make false claims and stick to them rather than admit to being wrong and seeing the obvious facts

He’s just been making things up lately, that didnt used to be his MO.

Harris didnt get the bulk of the carries.

Pickett injury history is mostly ho hum and the same as every other player and almost all of it occurred while he was with the Steelers. Has nothing to do with his failing as a QB.

KFP is a bust .. He was a bad pick he has happy feet and is not mentally tough .. When he asked for a trade because he had someone to compete with told me all I needed to know ...He should be grateful for the money he has been gifted in the NFL... IMHO him and Mason are not good enough to even be in the NFL they are fortunate the QB position is very weak the past 5 years or so..
