Mac, how long has it been since this team has had a legitimate threat at KR (excluding AB, but I do not honestly recall if he returned KO's)? From memory, without recalling names I can think of several they have chosen in the 3rd round (or so) for this purpose. I know it's NFL, not every position is that easy to fill, but in today's rules, just find a guy with hands, and make sure he let's the ball go out of bounds when it will, or go for a fair catch..you get it at the 25, lol. Just another mystifying example of WTF are we doing.

 

mcfadden to IR was the probable main reason we brought him in. austin was returning kicks last week, which he can do quite well but that is putting a lot on his plate since he's starting for DJ and returning punts. GI, can play special teams as well as return kicks and he can be used as the 3rd RB. nice pickup i think. not a block buster but solid.

 

Completely agree with Austin, and have NP with this oick up, just lamenting that for 20 some odd years we have used draft capitol for not much, lol.

 

Nobody as good as Randle El since he left.

Under the current rules, is a kick returner’s *return* ability even important? Just be able to (1) tell if the ball is headed OB, (2) catch it, and (3) wave your arm over your head.
