Starters on Special Teams

Starting kickoff return against the Colts:

Jordan Dangerfield, Matt Galambos, Tyler Matakevich, T.J. Watt, Arthur Moats, Robert Golden, David Johnson, Chris Hubbard and Xavier Grimble with Fitzgerald Toussaint and Knile Davis returning.

James Conner took Grimble's place on the second kickoff.

Starting kickoff coverage:

Coty Sensabaugh, Jordan Dangerfield, Brandon Dixon, T.J. Watt, Vince Williams, Chris Boswell, Tyler Matakevich, Matt Galambos, Fitzgerald Toussaint, Robert Golden and William Gay.

The names that stick out for me are Galambos and Toussaint. Galambos is a longshot to make the roster, but it interesting that he was out there in what was supposed to be a "dress rehearsal." Galambos also played on the punt and punt return teams. Maybe Steven Johnson's injury opens the door for the local guy.

Will Toussaint make the roster based on his special teams play? I hope not.

 

I think Fitz has made a case for why he SHOULDN'T make the team this preseason.

 

I'm honestly surprised they don't have Conner working more on specials. I always enjoyed when he would play DE at PITT.
