Jax is in a massive downward spiral. At this point, my only question is who will be left standing?

Of course, most of it is Gemma's fault, but Jax is not thinking clearly
Jury isn't/wasn't the rat, for instance. But Jax is now all kill first, don't even question it later.

As long as Tig and Chibs survive, I'll be happy. (My 2 favorites)

I hope they do get around to doing the prequel mini-series / lone season. Let the speculation begin on who gets cast as young Gemma, Clay, John, Piney, Otto, etc. :D

What is Jax going to do when he finds out what really started this war?

This season is pretty good, but dark. My only real complaint is that it feels like it's moving to quickly and trying to tie up too many loose ends at once (but I think I say that for every last season of the shows I like). I kind of wish they'd stretched this season's plot over two. That said, the end of this past week's episode left me speechless! Two more episodes to go... who will live? Who will die?

This is my favorite show ever. Absolutely love the story. Too bad my favorite character (Gemma) has to die haha she's such a bada$$. There have been some totally brutal scenes this season, and I'm expecting even more before its all wrapped up.

Always wondered why this show wasn`t talked about before, when "Thrones", and "Walking Dead" were...

    Man...

I came late to this party to...

But after binge watching the first 5 or 6 seasons...

It`s sum of the best stuff on "non-cable" tv...

They ain`t afraid to kill no one!!!(Main Characters included).

I`m hopin the finale ends with Jax reading from his journal... even if he`s dead at that point...

Kinda forgot how it all started with that, and a "How the Sons of Anarchy Lost Their Way", book, authored by his real Dad..

    Great stuff, for a "Prequel"!!!

I would love to see how the director, that played "Otto", cud take us bak in time, to the 60`s, when the group was founded by returning Vietnam Vets...
I can`t remember the director`s name, but, I am sure he could take us back to a time of 60`s muscle cars, and music, and all the "anti-war protests", etc, that started this series...

There are plenty of seeds planted in the relationship Jax`s Dad had in Ireland, etc.. And how Gemma and Clay may or may have not played in killing Jax`s Dad...:hmmm:

I would LOVE to see where "The Sons of Anarchy" came from, BEFORE they lost their way...

Because they sure did lose their way, with some of the most potent, and emotional scenes, I`ve ever seen outside of HBO...

    SAMCRO 4-EVER!

Kurt Sutter (who is married to Katey Sagal IRL)

And you're in luck. A Sons PREQUEL is in the works. He speculated it would probably just be a mini-series or single season.

Which makes me wonder: who's going to play who? Young versions of Gemma, Clay, John Teller, Piney, the rest of the first 9, Jury. Hell, even Unser.

Clay will be the hardest to cast as he has a very particular look. Gemma? Any young, petite, pretty young thing with a wild/mean streak would work. (Not for eye candy, well, maybe a little. More because we know that's what she was like)

    That episode...

I expected 2/3s of it. 2 of 3 people that is. ;) But still didn't expect it in that manner. As for how they end it all:
Jax is dead man walking. I think he's been planning his own death from the moment he learned the truth about Tara. The only question is how he goes out. On Dad's bike? Allow the club to off him? Some other way? I see no way he gets out of the series alive short of faking his own death - and that seems too easy for Kurt Sutter. And now it appears he's agreed to die for Jury to the other chapters. HIS club has to be the one to vote for mayhem though.

RIP, Wayne Unser. I half expected you to find out your cancer was cured before you died.

All I can say is wow. Juice took one for the club. As for Jax offing Gemma. He had to do it. He needed revenge for Tara. As for him shooting Unser (he gave him every chance) that also needed to be done. If word got back to the street the war was fought based on Gemmas lie what little Jax has gained would be lost.

Im trying to figure how Jax gets out of this alive. I think that is what Sutter has in mind. Jax Windy and the kids walk away from this life. Whats the unwritten by law? Whats wrong with Jax ankle in the beginning of the last episode?

The bylaw was the one prohibiting blacks from joining the club. Jax wants the Grim Bastards to patch over. And I think it's also a sort of atonement / posthumous justice for Juice since all of his troubles lead back to his getting blackmailed over being half black.

And as I said above, I can't see a way out for Jax. I'm not convinced he even wants one. I do think Wendy will end up raising the boys on Nero's farm - far away from the club. My wife said "watch, at the end, Wendy will have or be pregnant with another son from Jax."

What's wrong with Jax's ankle? Someone at work heard Charlie hurt himself during shooting. They were so close to the end, they didn't bother explaining it (as that would require re-writes). Notice how sometimes he's limping, and others he isn't? So they just wrote it off as "IDK. Weird." I have no idea if that's true, but it wouldn't surprise me.

But that's all you get. 2 days. Or until someone else starts spilling beans!

I wasn't a big fan of this season and the finale was just too convenient. I thought the way they tied up loose ends was just haphazard. Jax is riding around on a mint HD Knucklehead killing people in broad daylight with mountains of witnesses, but they put out an APB once they find Gemma and Unser. Murder two people on the courthouse steps, but there isn't one single cop around? He basically confesses to murdering GEmma and Unser to the DA and she let's him walk away before sending someone to the house? I'm pretty sure she could have had him held on suspicion while they sent someone to check out the house.

You make good points. I thought the same thing when he capped Marks and his bodyguard on the courthouse steps. However remember from the time he killed Barosky to the Marks killing was most likely a 1/2 hour or less.

He does not say a thing about Unser or Gemma being dead to the DA. All he tells her is that they are at her fathers house in Oregon. So she has no reason to hold him on that believing they are both alive.

The reason I think this is a perfect ending is Jax had this all planned before he went into the sit down with the other SOAs pres. He knew they would want a mayhem vote. He knew he wasnt getting out of this alive. He knew it was more important to be a father than a outlaw. Something his father and he both failed at. You cant be both. He knew he had to break that cycle and give his boys a chance. So he turned his mint KH into the path of a semi outstretched both arms as if to say....Here I am. I am guilty punish me for my sins. However please dont hold my sins against my sons.

I was rooting for Jax to get out of this alive. I thought that was what Sutter wanted also.If you watched the after show Sutter did say.(Paraphrasing) "We thought about just having Jax drift into the semis path than cut." Letting the audience decide. Did he die or did he live. Im SO glad they gave us closure. GREAT SHOW Mr.Sutter!!!!!

Of course it isn't realistic. It's a TV show. They go for "unbelievable but believable for this world." Yada, yada yada...

That said, my biggest question was, "What? No road block???" ;)

Allowing myself the suspension of disbelief, I thought it was a fitting and very good ending. Sutter often invoked Shakespeare and Hamlet when talking about his influences for the show. We knew it was only going to end with Jax's death (even if we hoped otherwise). The questions were why, who and how? I believed he was planning his own death the moment I saw him fixing Dad's bike. Jury's version of JT's death still fresh in my memory.

Certainly this show ended on much better terms than most. I've been burned too many times by other shows. I was satisfied by this one.

And can I just talk for a second about the music? My God, IDK who chooses the songs, but they deserve an Emmy. From Greg Holden's "Lost Boy" for Opie's funeral, to "Day is Gone" for Tara's death and "Come Join the Murder" by the Forest Rangers (just to pick 3), the songs have been so fitting, poignant, and powerful. I just learned that Sutter himself penned the lyrics to "Come Join the Murder." Bravo. LOVE that song. A perfect tie of the bow on the whole thing.

The SoA soundtrack over the years has been outstanding. I just named those 3 as they really stood out for me.

I was pretty disappointed (actually, I was disappointed the previous week too). I felt like the season spent way too much time introducing all these new story lines that didn't need to happen (Chibs and the back and forth Sheriff?) and then tried to wrap things up too neatly at the last second. I didn't feel like anything that happened in the last two episodes was a surprise, and I hate the way Jax went out.

One highlight of the season... Marilyn Manson. Great character.

I'm not sure how you can call a character that rapes juice repeatedly great.
