Something I've been thinking about.

Something I was talking with with friends...., and was wondering what others thought.
Edit: Canada is not involved in the equation. He would be gone in this idea....like He will be next year....although I don't know who the OC would be...in this little fantasy.
Also You only get either for 5 years.

 

I have to go with a different coach. The Steelers continue to have similar problems with different players in the same coaching system, and as I've said before, I believe better QBs would suffer in Canada's system, so I vote for the coach.

 

No no no. Not Canada...LoL...Hes gone in this equation,....just like Hes gone next year, and You only get the choice for 5 years.

 

So Pat Mahomes but without Canada? That would probably change my answer.

That is a tough one for sure. I went with Andy Reid. Reid will get you close to a Super Bowl with even an average QB.

Mahomes on the other hand will still be a great QB without Reid. But much like the last 10 years of Ben's career, you need elite coaching, game planning, play calling to get to and win a Superbowl.

 

I can see that, but My choice is Mahomes just because of the 5 year limit on this little fantasy.

 

One of My buddies that I was discussing this with (there were like 5 of us)....He , and His Son are life time KC fans, and I asked if they had to choose between who they had to keep....they both said Mahomes very quickly. Of course that's just their opinion.

 

Depends. No Canada does change things. Does Tomlin go to? Give Mahomes with Naggy or Bienemy and I might change mind. Even with Tomlin

 

I vote Reid

 

Reid, we have seen what Reid can do with out Mahomes.. We haven't seen what Mahomes can / could do with out Reid

 

I chose the Coach as it simply makes more sense ..The QB is 1 play away from not giving you anything ..A good Coach can right the ship and give you more chances ..Your best ability is availability ....

 

Unless Mahomes can play defense too, I pick Reid who can make a difference needed on both sides of the ball to get to a SB.

 

Mahomes, we'll be in the hunt for the division crown and we may even get to the second round of the playoffs once in a while, just like we used to when Ben was at his peak, i'm good with that.

I voted for Mahomes. You put Mahomes on the Bears, Broncos or any other lousy team and they make the playoffs.

 

QB has always been the most important position for a team....Head coach is second

No bad answer in that, I take Mahomes, even if the horrible coaching staff on offense is very hard to overcome...Maybe Mahomes would bring Andy Reid's playbook for us!

But it might not have mattered if Mahomes didn't have enough control on offense....Roethlisberger never had enough control on offense, even in the killer B's era because Tomlin often tried to win with the defense, the offense often had a slow start and didn't do much when we had the lead because protecting the defense was more important than scoring points at time for Tomlin and I was going crazy with that....When we had to score, they had no problem with that, but they waited until they had their backs to the wall...Same thing when we had Arians as OC

This is true; Reid also improves the team's entire staff and that's not some small detail.

 

I take Mahomes but do we still have the Oline coach? Even Mahomes looked human in the SB against Tampa when his line played bad.

 

I don't know who the OL Coach would be..., but in this fantasy Canada would be gone, but think about what you just said ... Mahomes looked human in the SUPER BOWL. That's the key....even with a terrible OL he still got them to that SB.
