The only thing some people here need to turn a thread into an opportunity to bash tomlin is for the sun to rise

One interesting thing that they announced at a game this year, was Steelers was declared loudest stadium this year or something along those lines?

I'm not sure where that award came from or if it is legit, but the stadium announcer said a few times?

Yeah I have been going to games for a lot of years now, and that sort of stuff is getting to me. I splurged for some seats pretty close to the field thinking it might be better, but a fight still broke out near me. It got resolved quickly though.

For the most part, overall, it has been a great experience at the games. People say they have a better seat with a big TV, but there is no comparison when that stadium is rockin, maybe a full stadium chant of Here We Go Steelers (which doesnt' always happen), or Renegade. Especially a Prime Time game or something crazy like when it snows ... they don't know what they are missing.

    Exactly.

There is no comparison to the excitement of being at the game.

Plus you see so much more of what is really happening. I get on this board the morning after a home game and see so much false information being posted I wonder what game people watched.

Saying you would rather watch it on tv sounds a lot like you would rather watch a porn video in your basement than being there live. But hey, people swing both ways.

Isn't it just crazy that ALL season long they have Covid Testing for players and coaches and restricted players and coaches from participating, but all of a sudden the playoffs and Superbowl come around and they completely halt the testing and let every player and coach participate once again? What's even crazier is that all fans attending must submit a vax card or a 48 hour negative test result to attend and must wear a mask the whole time while in the stands.

Yep. So it's nothing to do with a coach or players that have made our ratings go down. Browns still had semi packed stadiums when they were sucking every season.

But alas he won't be. He has had his moments but its time to inject some fresh ideas. This season will be telling. He has never missed a season without a franchise QB although he has wasted years with one.

Hopefully a GM from outside is hired as well as a defensive coordinator. Austin has an interview with the Giants. He wants to call the defense. Canada gets another season to prove he belongs. The jury is still out. Was it Ben handcuffing him?

Guess the fanbase outside of this board are getting restless like most here.

This! At least for me that statement speaks alot. The rule changes and incredibly inconsistent flags thrown has driven my passion down quite a bit. Couple that with knowing this ship was sinking for more than a decade blowing their last chances at winning superbowls with a hall of fame qb has been frustrating. Throw in the melodramatic endzone dancing, tweeting and undisciplined play and sometimes id just got to throw my hands up like what the eff? For 21 years I only missed one steeler game. This year I only watched about half so I'm guilty of just not being into it like usual. But other outside events and forces in my life have had me reevaluate just how much do I want to put into this team that sometimes doesn't seem like it cares a whole lot and lacks pride and toughness that losing teams of the 80's and 90s and least tried to have. Anyway sorry about the rant. I will always bleed black and gold but the attention I give now isn't what it used to be. Hopefully it changes and they right the ship somehow.
