Got in town earlier today. Already spent a bunch of money on Steelers stuff.
Up at Bettis' Grill 36 for dinner!

 

We were up there in June...I had never eaten there before. Sure had some good food!

Yeah we were waiting to be seated and stood in front of that window and just kept pointing and laughing ! One guy came out and asked if we could really see him in there.

And my "wife" actually made a comment about my socks...

Not that I was wearing them too high, just that she didn`t believe I would actually wear Steeler Socks, in public...

And when I saw Glenn`s... I had to mention that!

If anyone on the board is a "Suicidal Tendencies" fan, they will know that Mike Muir wears his socks higher than mine, with shorts... LOL!

It could be worse. They could be black socks with black loafers. But thats when you're really old and don't give a ****.

I remember one Suicidal Tendencies song. Back in the late 80s a punk rock kid turned me on to the song "I saw your mother and your mothers dead."

 

I could have swore I heard Shout it out Loud. I guess I forgot I showed you the Kiss tattoo.

 

My kid wears those no-show socks sometimes. I've tried them, but they don't feel right.

 

My wife hates my socks also. She says they look like "scrunchie" socks or something like that from the 80s. I hate those socks that make it look like you're not wearing socks. I have some Steelers ankle socks and I wear them all the time. I went to visit a deacon's mamaw with him one night and I had those socks on with pants and when I crossed my legs while I was sitting down you could see them. He goes "man you DO love the Steelers if you're wearing socks like that!" LOL! It's amazing what a person's socks says about them. HA. It reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld saying that once you become a dad you become a fashion time capsule and you always have the same style and never adapt. It is a really funny routine and I know eventually I'm gonna embarrass the crap out of my son. LOL.

 

Hold on, I think that the high socks are making a comeback. On my sons XC team a lot of the HS kids are wearing black socks like Bleed's when they run. Admittedly I do it too but usually when I run after I change out of long pants and am too lazy to switch to lower socks.

So don't pile on too much, he may just be ahead of the trend.

 

Yeah, the black socks are in style, but not the white ones like Bleed is wearing. (sorry Bleed) Lol!

Looks like you guys had a good time. Funny how you develop a visual image in your mind about how someone looks and then you see an actual picture of them and you're surprised. I'm going to post a picture of myself in Steelers garb on here one day and shock the daylights out of all of you. Think lovechild of Boy George and Tiny Tim.
