Yes, I really dislike anything but 1:00 games. Whatever the outcome is, I know it is done and I do not have to wait all day long for that. And of course, if we win, it gives me that much more time to celebrate until the next game. 1:00 games just seem to be nostalgic for me from childhood and I personally feel that is the way they should go.

Partial disagreement here with you my friend. Your quote: "We just don't have the weapons on offense to move the ball consistently". Oh we have the weapons. Unfortunately we:

• Just cannot get them all on the field at the same time (injuries).
• Don't use them all as they should be utilized (i.e. Tight Ends)
• Have bone-headed coaches making poor in-game decisions such as the Wildcat play before the half. That "ingenious" move left a minimal of three points off the board.

I don't mind 4pm games either.... but Steelers get at least 5 prime time games a year, which means the next work day sucks. But yes, 1pm games are the best, IMO.

 

I wasn't drinking the Koolaid, but we had been finding ways to do just enough. In the past few games, we had been winning the turnover battle and Duck was making good, for the most part, decisions. He was also pretty accurate. Our running game was off life support. Our defense was keeping us in, if not winning, games for us.

Buffalo is NOT that good of a team. They have a solid defense without glaring weaknesses. And they have a qb who can hurt you with his arm or legs. But he can also hurt his team as well.

I thought our defense would keep them to under 14 and probably contribute 7. That meant our offense needed to score a touchdown and a field goal or two. I had hope.

I think that's what hurts the most about the loss. I had hope that we were better than what we have shown as well as had hope that we would maintain the status quo and not regress.

The hard part to accept, purely as a fan, is that we don't belong in the playoffs. I lost confidence in Duck and our team to overcome the adversity that is this season.

No illusions of grandeur. Didn't expect us to light it up in the playoffs, just be competitive.

Strangely, though, that game went just like the past few. One play here or there was the difference. It could so easily have gone the other way. We are as close to 2-12 as 12-2. But I guess that is what makes a mediocre team. Sad.

 

this is the best steelers fans site on the web. period. You guys responded to my requests prayers nd others that needed them as well. good year this year? Not really but it was better than than could be expected and we had fun talking about the year. I want you all to know that this is more than a football site. I love my Steelers and my Steelers family. You guys know way more football than I ever could but this is the place I will always come back to to discuss the Steelers. Thanks for making my stay in the hospital bearable and thanks for loving the steelers. Go Steelers!!!!!
