I said at best. I'm not saying that's my move. I want 2 DBs in the first 4 rounds of this draft. He did start at times last year, and held up much better than I expected, and apparently much better than you remember.

I hear you and I agree . Not sure I would have liked those 2 the best , but with all the options at CB,SS, and FS and we got no one. This draft is huge for KC and this Team. We build thru the draft crap means our draft should be held to higher standards.

If that is how we choose to do it KC should be graded as such .The Team needs to change . We need to have money in place to sign some good FA'S . Almost every Team has made some moves and made their teams potentially better .Meanwhile KC we build thru the draft.....Note to KC the other Teams also get to draft so they get to use FA and the draft and you only draft so you best be better at it than them.....I don't see that he is...

Sure. We have a great QB, a great WR, a promising stud opposite of AB, a great RB ... but overall and especially on defense, we have a lack of talent, and an aging and declining lack of talent at that.

But no, I don't do sunshine even at the best of times. When we win a Super Bowl, I obsess over the weaknesses that will keep us from winning another one. And right now, all I see are tons of weaknesses that will keep us from winning another Super Bowl before Ben runs out of top 10 QB play.

    Ok.....let's look at the secondary..

Gay.... Looks good one time then gets toasted.
    Allen.... Has no confidence
    Blake... #3 CB
Webb & Fogg.... Fill in players

    Safeties
Mitchell.... Looked lost and confused last year
    Thomas.... Unproven
    Golden.... He is special teams
Ventrone & Dangerfield..... Are just hanging around

How do you fix that! They let the top CB's in free agency sign with other teams. Didn't even make a run at them.
They won't pick a CB in the draft till the 3rd or 4th round. First pick will be a LB, second we be a TE. Why....because Colbert will tell you they have young talent in there secondary. Steelers D looks like swiss cheese......but our first priority is to bring in a 32yr old running back for a look. Yes I'm still scratching my head.

I'd rather look away. If we have a plan, I can't see it.

I think you need to pay a bit more attention to the defense..... aging and declining??? Apparently, you haven't seen the d-line, or our ilb's..... outside of James harrison, our olb's are even younger...troy and Ike won't be around anymore, and I'm sure this will be will allen ' s last season with us.... i even read where the f.o. was not going to sign any free agents 30 yrs. Or older.... yes we lack some talent at olb and the secondary, but aging and decling??? I think you should start reading today's headlines instead of the ones from a few yrs. Ago.....
Also, you may want to drop out of the Warren Sapp fan club

Ike, Keisel, Troy, and Harrison were all on the team last season, well past their primes and well into decline, because we didn't trust our younger players to do the job. That's why I call it aging and declining. I'm also not convinced that when preseason rolls around and the young guys aren't getting it done, all of these guys won't get brought back for yet another year.

Those complaining about not getting some of the free agents out there can you please help those of us who aren't complaining and list what FA you wanted, what deal they did sign, for how much and lastly which of the following players you would like to lose. Ben, Pouncey, Timmons, AB, Miller, Decastro, Heyward, Gilbert, Bell. Thank you

you're talking about last season's lineup, when last season is over and done with.... it's also a contradiction of your initial post that started the thread, which talks about current f.a. signings and next season's outlook..

That's all fine if you're actually in some sort of control of what it is you want to be perfect at.

Well, now that every single OLB FA has signed, he must come back. They didn't go after Orakpo, Sheard, etc, etc....

Didn't we go 11-5 this year and lost to the Ravens in the first round of the playoffs mainly because Bell was out and they decided to attempt to pound the ball with crappy backup running backs instead of using our explosive WRs in the passing game?

The defense, at least in terms of takeaways and sacks, can't do much worse than they did last season, so any marginal development from our current players will be a good boost.

Also, we tend to only play like crap against crap opponents, so next year when we have the hardest schedule in the league, we should be lighting it up!
