Sorry if I offended your friend but in case you missed it, he posts new threads almost every day and every one of them says the same thing and all of them are whiny and negative. This particular post, that you say was nothing but him displaying facts, had already been covered in multiple threads right before he decided to share this one. You have one thing right, he is trying to stimulate debate. But not the good kind.
As I have said many times before, I am well aware of this team's shortcomings and have no problem talking about them but if you can't see that this guy is just trying to pick fights with people, that's on you.
Not to mention, you are dragging up a post of mine that's over a week old and he has long since put me on ignore. Are you purposely trying to stir sh!t up with me?

Stimulating debate and whining are not the same

Don't forget: We HAD a very competent OL coach at one time - Munchak. When he was in Pgh we had a top 5 OL, some think it may have been #1. The official reason he left: to be closer to family in CO. But many have wondered if that was the "whole truth," as many factors just didn't "add up." Megalomania is often cited as a potential reason for his departure and for why Tomlin doesn't seek or find quality assistants.

Sounds like something Tomlin would say. Records are great and all but when was the last time we won a playoff game.

Huh. I was talking about when Cowher was coach. As You said in your post... You said domination, but a lot of those wins where 10-9, 12- 10 , 9-6, and so on. I don't call that domination. That's what I was talking about. I don't know where Tomlin even fits into this conversation.

Oh yeah .. Opps.. lol. . Of course they had their issues and some pretty close games as well but Cowher in my eyes was a tougher coach. He never put up with the crap Tomlin does.

Whatever, since when are factual representatives of the truth trolling? Do you dispute the assertions made? Do so.

"Refute, refute, refute the truth, gently down the truth creek, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily refute the facts if you can indeed."

Did the Steelers lose their last 3 playoff games giving up 40+ points in each game?

    L, 2017, 42-45 Jags
    L, 2020, 37-48 Browns
    L, 2021, 21-42 Chiefs

Those were factually the last 3 playoff games Pgh played in. Tomlin, the defensive "guru" gave up 40+ in all 3 of the last 3 playoff games. Under Tomlin, Pgh hasn't won a single postseason game in 6 years.

Historically...I'm one of the most negative, pessimistic members of this forum. I've covered everything that you are posting 10 times over since 2017.

With that said there's beating a dead horse to further death...and that's what you are doing. It doesn't serve much of a purpose.

At this point, I make an attempt to enjoy the games.

Saints fans hate their offense almost as much as Steelers fans hate their offense. :roflmao:

This is not really true...The offense under Cowher was not always great but in scoring and yards, only in 1998 the steelers were awful on offense compared to the rest of the league.1999 and 2003 deserve a mention too but it was still better on offense that the last 5 years overall that what the steelers offense have right now

And how did those games turn out for them? If you have a Hall of Fame QB, you should put points on the board. How did the D do?

Wasn’t defending my friend. Honestly haven’t commented much on the offense as I know everyone migrated to that topic so I probably didn’t notice how many versions of the same topic have been discussed because I tend to focus on the defense.

I didn’t notice it was a week old. Regardless I thought it was funny that when you said you weren’t trying to be a dick. Usually when someone says that the next sentence reveals some type of put down. I just found it amusing. Believe me I’m not trying to start anything with anyone on some stupid forum. Believe me it doesn’t mean that much to me nor should it to you.

Ok Dick. I think we all whine on here to a certain degree. I think with how bad this team has played over the last three years has justified a little bit of whining.

I usually agree with you but keep in mind Cowhers wins were completely different than many of Tomlins wins. Under Cowher even if the s ire looked close we often had an early lead and then we went into milking the clock mode and we ran the ball. Some teams may have put up points to make the game closer but his record when we were 3 or 4 points ahead when in the fourth quarter was phenomenal.

I think we have a heck of a chance to have a good offense that can compete.
All involved need to get on same page and stay there. There is talent on both sides of the ball on This Steeler team. It is being wasted.

Most of it isn't fact. It is opinion. Relentlessly pushing the narrative that everything is awful on every thread gets old. Starting thread after thread to do it, sometimes even multiple threads on the same topic, gets old. He even tried to hijack the TV Map thread.

If they can put up those kinds of number I will get Jared Kane and Matt Canada tattooed on my penis only one concern. Might only be able to fit one name on the lil guy

Exactly. I get sick of hearing about how bad Canada is. Everyone knows that. The real issue is Tomlin. I used to be a staunch Tomlin supporter but there is too many issues with this team that have gone in for far to long with far to much talent with the same samba outcome year after year and to continue with Tomlin us craziness. I would love to trade him while he is still respected in the league and get a whole new coaching staff. Schematically on both sides of the ball it feels like his schemes need superstars at every position in order for the offense and defense to be successful. Unfortunately that is unrealistic and it is never going to happen. There are coaches out there doing more with less talent. Why can’t Tomlin?

I guess I need to be on here more as I literally didn’t notice and nor do I read every topic. In fairness to the guy I feel like I myself am falling into that trap as it seems like the Steelers don’t offer much of anything else to talk about these days. Let’s hope that changes.

The steelers could score 30 points if the defense give our offense some short field or score TD on mutiple occasion like they did against the Browns

But it will not happen if they don't score on defense
