And if you "make the playoffs" and get slobberknocked the first game each time, giving up 40+ points? Well, that's where we've been with Tomlin the LAST 3 YEARS we made it to the playoffs. One could argue that's worse than not showing up at all. 40+ points the last 3 times we made it. Ouch.

Sorry FS but I am old school steelers fan. I like to see absolute domination which we have not seen in years. You know the type of domination where you knew the Bus was going to run but the opposition could not stop him. This team does not look even remotely like Steelers from years gone by. Seems to be issues always with this team. If it's not getting scorched in the run game it's Kenny bailing a pocket too soon and getting smoked. I miss the discipline. You never saw all of these character issues when Cowher was in charge. Lets get back to running the football like we did the last 7 games of last year. Clean up the OL. Get Moore the hell out of there. Rumor has it Moore is back in at LT. Make no sense at all.

Most of the talk about no losing seasons on this board Tomlin's critics as the mock its importance. The people who are more positive or balanced about the team rarely bring it up. The media brings it up because it is an easy talking point, but it really doesn't matter.

An incel with body odor vacationing in The Vatican has a better chance of scoring.

The steelers have only 9 plays in the red zone since week 2!

The offense is TERRIBLE and there is no getting around it. Canada is pretty bad, I think thats universally agreed on. That said, Pickett doesn't help. He is NOT a starter quality QB. Teams know he can't throw deep so they stack the box. Only twice this year has Pickett gotten lucky on a pass down field and both times it was to Pickens. It's really easy to blame the offensive line, but when there is 8-10 men on the line, how do they block that? Until we have a QB that can actually make teams back off the line, it won't matter.

I kinda agree. Although I believe He can throw it deep. I don't believe He must throw it deep....I believe He must have more completed passes past 10 yards, and that will back them off. Because they are definitely stacking against the run, and short passes.

Not to argue, but I guess You forgot all the 10- 9 , 9-6, and 12-10 wins we had during that time.

Yea, because what they are doing so far is really working well: 30th in yards gained, dead last in time of possession.

And not a single win in the playoffs since the 2016 season, then there is that. As a matter of fact, in the last THREE appearances we gave up 40+ points in every game. Not quite the "how to win the the postseason" blueprint for success.

I guess you missed the long touchdown to Austin. Pickett has been able to hit the deep ball when they have tried it this season, once again demonstrating that you don't know what you are talking about.

Pickett has played poorly, but it isn't an inability to hit any kind of throw. It is early pressure, especially inside. It is poor play design and play-calling. It is poor decisions by Pickett. It is the absence of Johnson. It is all of those factors combined, many of them outside of his control.

What’s the point of a forum if you’re not gonna talk about the elephant in the room? I always love when people try not to be Dicks when they knowingly are. The guy is simply posting factual content to stimulate debate. If you don’t have anything relevant to add then don’t comment. That’s my feeling.

An interesting article came out about the old Steelers Oline coach Klemm and how he was terrible for the Steelers. He left here halfway through the season to coach college and then ended up back in the NFL with the Patriots. Their offense and oline is in shambles. Rhamondra Stevens has less than 3 yards a carry and their QB is doing terrible.

All if this sounds familiar. I still feel like our biggest issue is the oline coach with Canada being a close second. The only reason I pick the oline coach is because you literally can not evaluate the OC or the position players accurately when your oline consistently underperforms. I don’t understand why it is so hard to get a good oline coach but it seems like we are incapable of finding one.

I would love to see what we actually have in Najee if he had a line and was utilized right, the same goes for Pickens, Friermuth, Pickett and even Washington. Good coaches figure out how to take advantage of mismatches and all of those players mentioned with the exception of KP present matchup problems if utilized correctly. We for some reason can’t get out of our own way.

It’s funny how these same issues are plaguing both Tomlin and Belicheck. They are both super bright human beings. The only logical conclusion I can gather is that they are both highly arrogant. They think they are talented enough themselves to evoke positive change and they don’t need the help.

this all starts and stops with Tomlin. As bad as the OC and Oline coaches are … Tomlin is the one who hired them and Tomlin is the one who continues to stick with them.
I will never understand why we continue to hire inferior coaching talent. Their is no single valid reason for it.

Guess who the Patriots Oline coach. The same guy who coached our oline a few years ago - Klemm. A bad oline coach can destroy an offense just as much as a bad QB can. I would say outside of OC and DC the Oline coach is the third most important coordinator position on an NFL team and we have three doozy’s. We can thank Tomlin for all three hires.

Rooney has got to force change. For whatever reason Tomlin has shown a severe lack in judgement when making coaching hires. As a result that power should be stripped of him or at minimum Khan should have some partial say in the matter moving forward.

If I were Rooney I would bring an outside consultant for both the offense and defense for the rest of the season. The consultant would serve as an unbiased second set of eyes to provide feedback on where both units can get better. Those consultants could be used as leverage by Rooney to provide an unbiased view point on where Tomlin has fallen short on both sides of the ball. He could use those consultants to hold Tomlin accountable to either make the appropriate changes necessary to compete and see his own mosques and where he has fallen short and if his ego can’t take that honest criticism then you gotta look at moving Tomlin as he still has a lot of respect in the league and is a highly tradable asset.

The one thing can’t we do is go through another off-season of internal promotions and empty words if we have to fix the run game and coach better and the players have to execute better. That’s empty words and I think Steelers fans have had enough of that.
