I think this is the best we could have reasonably hoped for.

Defense still has problems, but there are signs of continued improvement.

    Same for offense.

Just beat a quality opponent, not a total garbage team.

I feel pretty good, but not delusional. We are nowhere near the Superbowl contenders, but I feel the tiniest crack of the door is open to make noise.

This wasn't a smoke and mirrors win, we were the better team today. We have a real chance to be 5-1 with the Browns and Bengals after the bye.

Lamar Jackson out with a hammy and Cooper Rush in for the Rats as they are getting blown out by the Chiefs.

Very happy with sitting at the top of the division, but realistically still concerned about injuries and D giving up comeback scores at the end. I'll enjoy the win, and the record, but as a fan, I still want to see continued improvements. This week was a nice change for both the O and D, so I hope it keeps getting better.

9-10 wins could be enough to win this division this year. The ravens are awful right now and they have more and more injuries

Yeah, not quite as satisfying if you win a division because the two top contenders fell on their faces due to key injuries.

    However, I`ll take that. LOL.

I'm more worried about Tomlin calling the defensive plays ;)

This was the best game I've seen them play in, well, at least 2 years. (Some odd decisions and blown coverage in the last few minutes notwithstanding).

3-1 is about as good as we could have hoped for in September.

But, no. We're not fat and happy. Superbowls are not won in September. It's a long season with tougher opponents to come. And today's positive steps taken into consideration, we still have a long way to go with improvement.

It is encouraging though. Let's hope they build on this.

I bitc*** and moaned when the schedule first came out and saw that we had an early bye week. I now officially stand corrected as this bye week couldn’t have possibly came at a better time for us. I say this for a host of reasons. Mostly for injuries and improvements

No of course not. We havent even played a divisional game yet.

btw, i think our passing game would look so much better if we had pickens AND metcalf. George playing well in dallas right now…wish we couldve reigned him in a bit and kept him.

It was the first time that it felt like we outplayed our opponent this season. We still have a ways to go, but the OL looked really good today (against a solid defense to boot), and until the very end of the game the defense looked quite solid as well. Lots of sacks and a couple of turnovers (and a near score).

The defensive breakdown was hard to watch (and not sure how that happens there) and nearly cost us big time. Tomlin made some really bad situational decisions (what’s new)… all of that contributed to taking what was a pretty handily won game and turning it into a tight ending. If we play more games like this one, we will continue to win games.

Another good sign was big games from guys who needed it. Benton dominated today and Wilson played really well as well. Back to back impactful weeks from TJ. We’re getting healthy after the bye… lots of things to feel good about going into two important divisional games that we need to win.

Fat and happy? Hell no. We were 10-3 at one point last season, and look how that ended up. I feel relief more than anything right now. Relief at being 3-1 despite playing mediocre football in weeks 1-3, and relief that we’re heading into the bye with a really solid performance under our belts today. Build on it.

There is no 'fat and happy' with this team, not with this defense, but it's nice to see a 3-1 record, the QB position not being a liability, and finally getting a big pass play. This is a good start, given the state of the rest of the AFC North.

The Steelers should win against the Browns and Bengals, but you never know when your gutless head coach lives in his fears.

Minnesota put 48 on Bengals, we held them to 21
Pats put 42 on Panthers, we held them to 14.

I'm big time fat and happy! I'm going to be fat and happy until next game! greatest bye week ever!

Then depending on what happens in two weeks, I will either be super fat and happy, or extremely skinny and miserable, until the week after when I will reassess.

This cycle will repeat from game to game... I figure given that Tomlin never has losing seasons, I will be more fat and happy than not.

I was hoping for 4-0 at the bye.

But with all these injuries heading into a bye week, I will gladly take 3-1. Fat and Happy... Yes.

The defense showed some improvement today, but our offense has got to be better no doubt. Aaron Rodgers can’t throw for 200 yards every game and expect to win, especially in the playoffs. That said Baltimore is 1-3. The Bengals are 2-2 but without Joe Burrow and most likely won’t go anywhere. I don’t even have to say anything about the Browns. So there’s definitely some hope this year.

Some people wouldn’t be happy unless we were 11-0 at Week 4 and we fire Tomlin.

This is as good as anyone could have hoped for. No team is playing flawless ball right now.

The injury to Austin and the general lack of playmakers on offence is a concern. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a trade over the bye week
