Since the killer B's era, at any point did anyone think we actually looked

convincingly like a good team?

I can't, even during the smoke amd mirrors 11-0 season with Ben.

Am I wrong?

 

It wasn't smoke and mirrors, that was actually a solid team. We won 4 games in that 11 win stretch by multiple scores and only 1 by 3 points or less. They might not have dominated every single game, but they were winning somewhat comfortably by NFL standards. Injuries and COVID scheduling ruined the run and then Coach T did Coach T things and got massively outcoached at home and lost to yet another mediocre/poor QB in the playoffs.

Aside from that, not really. We've looked very much like an average NFL team that has issues coaching and issues at the QB position. Not going to look convincingly like a good team when those are your top issues.

 

Yeah you're probably right, but that season did implode in spectacular fashion.

 

Even with the killer Bs, the team underperformed on occasion. A shame that with Ben, Brown, and Bell, they couldn’t get to the big show. They sure had the talent.

Tomlins success is off the coattails of Cowher, all the players he inherited. He has not got anyone, since them players left!
