Since 1970 who was the Steelers third-best QB behind #12 and #7?

Neil #3 / Maddox # 4 for me just because of the amazing 4th qtr. comeback he led against the Browns in a Playoff game.

 

Wasn't 2003 the year they gave up the team identity to fully embrace the Tommy-gun offense and didn't realize that the reason Ward and Burress had 1000 yard seasons and Maddox looked amazing in 02 was teams stacking the box in an effort to slow Bettis? So without that threat they could play tighter coverage on those two?

Yeah, pretty much. The Bus and Amos Zereoue were about even in rushing yards that year. Looks like Bus had about 100 yards more. I guess Steelers tried the Morris/Pegram dual threat rushing attack like in '95 and it failed miserably.

 

Yeah they tried to get Bettis going late in the 3rd quarter of games and didn't grasp that Bettis needs the first half to batter the defense. You couldn't start him cold in the 4th.

 

Here was My conspiracy theory....Jerry Jones paid Him 2 throw those.....He said look Son....Your probably going 2 sign elsewhere for more money....You see how they keep bringing in Kordell.....for plays....that's who they really want as a Qb..So .....what do You care.....You can always take Your next team 2 the SB,and win....So this extra few Million will see You through until then. Think about it. LOL

I don't often engage in conspiracy theories but I was convinced of this for a good long while after that game.

 

At least one of those interceptions was the receiver running the wrong route not a bad throw

 

I'm still convinced something transpired.
