Should the Steelers make some moves before the trade deadline?

Sutton played extremely well for the Steelers last season. They didn't cut him. They chose not to pay a relatively high price tag in free agency. Of course, that was a big mistake.

I'm not sure Witherspoon is playing all that well. He had his moments for the Steelers, too.

Maulet is a journeyman. He has failed to be anything more than a reserve and special teamer at multiple stops. He made one nice play last week, the sack of Pickett. He also blatantly interfered with Pickens in the end zone. He as thoroughly helpless on that play, but the officials bailed him out by being terrible at their jobs.

 

We are a team in the middle of a "re-build" whether or not fans want to admit it. Trades don't make a lot of sense at such a time, we need our draft picks.

- OL, still need OTs, C and maybe another OG. The unit is NOT set.
- ILB, still not convinced we are settled there. Need a killer in there.
- QB, may or may not be set, but it's certainly not off the table.
- CB, we got one side seemingly set, need another as old man Pat Pete ain't cutting it.
- DL, with Cam about done, we still need some young studs there.
- TE, Muth ready to bounce, not convinced Washington is an every down player there.

Arguments can be made for RB and WR needs.

 

He's got worse tape than Claypool.

That assumes that when the injured are health no one else gets injured
