He hurt his knee tackling Bell in the redzone. Trainers put ice on it and he stayed on the sidelined. Tomlin said there were just bumps and bruises in practice and nothing significant. When asked about Shazier, he said it was "a little boo-boo".

yes it has the looks of a long lingering boo-boo. it may take a couple days of a boo-boo bunny and a dora the explorer Band-Aid. they keep this stuff in the special boo-boo kit. it may even require a trip to dave and busters.

Skinned up his knee when he was 5 yrs old. Guy's fragile.
Fire the Steelers trainer, Colbert, Tomlin and his Kindergarten teacher!

One of the beat writers said Shazier probably won't play against the Giants.

He looked like he was hobbling pretty good. I would say it was more than just a boo-boo.

No great loss. He'd probably only see 1, 2 series at most anyway.

My guess right now is that they want him for the regular season more than now, but that says something about where the kid is as well. If you are willing to give up reps for a rookie in order to save him for the season, it says they are REALLY comfortable with what he currently knows about the offense.

I hope we are right that this is just a boo boo.

I am going to play the role of captain obvious on this one. lol Tomlin is just being cautious I would assume given the fact Shazier is going to be first team

Probably a safer bet that MT couldn't care less about the score of a preseason game.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I think a player could lose a limb and Tomlin would call it just a flesh wound.

He is still hurt enough to miss a game,
even if it is preseason. I still like to see players play against another team, ESPECIALLY rookies.
