I don't recall an over-abundance of injuries resulting fron the kickoffs anyway. I saw no need to change things.

I think a lot of it was because of all the ex players suing the nfl for the repercussions of concussion injuries suffered during their careers. It sucks for us as fans because I believe a lot of the rule changes have stemmed from that. The nfl doesn't want a bunch of lawsuits from these next batch of players coming through after they retire. Sadly it's going to end up like basketball, just look at a player wrong and they blow the whistle.

I also think it's to basically help the offense. Also teams exploit the crap out of it by just "taking a shot" at the end zone hoping to do nothing more than to get the ball placed at the 1yd line. In situations like that where it's close to the goal line maybe they should penalize from the line instead and all other penalties like maybe between the 20s could be a "spot foul"? I just want them to change it because I just keep seeing Ike mugging dudes! LOL!

That Buffalo player getting almost paralyzed probably has a lot to do with it.

So I guess we're seeing what Rodgers looks like behind a crappy line. Their line has been bad for a while but tonight they are not looking like they have any depth at all.

The defense is not helping at all.
They're just not ready for a big week one game.

Yeah they're not looking that good. I was actually thinking today that GB might be a SB contender this year. So far, it is looking like Seattle is gonna plow people again. Seattle's playcalling has kept them really off balance tonight.

I think he and that line will probably look alright in most stadiums this season, but in SEA against that ramped up D, it ain't cutting it.

Yeah this is really a bloodbath. They better be glad Earl Thomas decided to be a moron on special teams or this would be even worse.

Yeah, Seattle's D doesn't look like it has lost that intensity it had last year. Those guys are intense.

Granted, I got home right before halftime. But I haven't seen a 10 yard cushion yet. :innocent:

Schrodinger's cat was the first documented neutered cat by a veterinarian if I recall, so the term would fit here yes.

It was either that or a joke about Pavlov's dog killing him for a drink of water. Truth be told, the Schrodinger's cat paradox hurts my brain a little bit.
