This is obviously not uncommon or Olympic athletes would be nfl players

Wrestlers as OL and track guys as WRs

Although personally I think they should try more heavy weight wrestlers Ala Carl Haselrig

I agree, study the tape especially against quality opponent/talent. We are looking for high producing talent.

Now you got players who show up to the combine and refuse to be measured .

Ladd McConkey is looking smooth and fast today. I loved his game in College, and he is looking just as polished at the combine. I see him as a really low risk WR prospect. There are a lot of good receivers in this draft who really wow with height/weight/speed coupled with great tape, but Ladd is sneaky good and could be a Cooper Kupp type of star.

I wouldn't be surprised to see McConkey go to the Chiefs to close out the first round.

Devin Leary the QB from Kentucky was by far the most accurate thrower today at the combines first group of QB'S, he hit every receiver in stride. He's only 6'1" and weighs 215 and will probably be available around round 5 but today really helped him.
I was very impressed with Joe Milton he was throwing 75 yards without effort and hitting his receivers. Milton looked better than I thought he would in the intermediate throws, he let a couple sail on him but he had himself a really good afternoon.

Film always trumps football in shorts but what I like to look for in the DB drills is how smooth their hips are.

I don’t know why they bother with the 40 for any position other than WR,TE,RB,DB

Interesting McConkey fact: he was born on 9/11. Also, Bleacher Report's scouting report lists Dionte Johnson as his pro comparison.

The main concerns surround his size and strength at the next level.

Bum Phillips had the DL run 7 yard dashes

He said if they have to run farther than that he had bigger problems

Jeez, Xavier Worthy the WR from Texas just ran a 4.25.
Wow Worthy just ran a 4.22 on his second run. That's tied for the all time fastest forty ever with John Ross.
Ok the official time just came in at 4.21, Worthy is the fastest player in combine history.

This Brother. Hips, and how they transition. Speaking of which. Sorry to say. LoL.
    T. Edmunds has the stiffest hips in the history of the NFL. I think someone welded his hip to his shoulder. LoL

Yeah, there were some analysts talking about Terrion Arnold only posting a 4.50, but how much faster he looks on tape due to his hips and fluidity of motion.

One corner posting a 4.30 is literally the blink of an eye faster a straight 40 yards downfield, but a cut or double-move later could be a much different story.

Don’t tell that to Cam Heyward as he constantly needs to chase down runners

Yeah. I remember you raving about Cam Smith’s hips last year. It was a bit creepy.

    LoL.
He had great hips. Too bad it hasn't helped him any yet. CBs are hard to judge. Like this year ....I have 5 CBs I'd love to have.

With all those receivers running fast at the combine, maybe 5-6 of them will get drafted in the first round, there will be a lot of players dropping to pick #20 for the Steelers to choose from.
