Saw this in comments on a Yahoo Steeler story

I obviously rubbed some people the wrong way, or this thread got hijacked. My point was about the Yahoo story poster talking about the "Pittsburgh Rooney rule", or having three coaches in 45 years is how you build success. Definitely was not pointing fingers or implying anything. Just thought that idea of the Rooney rule is awesome, and I am one of the ones who halfway through this season wanted Tomlin replaced if things stayed the same. He righted the ship, and the franchise proved themselves. As for judging other fans, I don't care if your a fan like me who still gets pissed about the sack Kent Graham took and the Browns stole a win because the refs did not do a clock stoppage, or someone who says they are a fan and then asks what their record is this year. But I should have been clear about why I posted that.

I liked that guy's point as well. I know you're not an agitator. You're a nice guy and I like your avatars. LOL. I am a HUGE Disney fan and therefore thoroughly enjoyed the Heffalump one. HA!

 

I am now judging you for judging others while they judge themselves. Really, I sit back and read these threads and how everyone responds to them. Even though I don't enter these debates about peoples loyalty or "fandom" to the Steelers I really don't see anyone on here that I feel is not a "real" Steelers fan. Quite the contrary, what I see are a number of people that are passionate about our team, sometimes, rubbing someone else the wrong way. It is kind of like making love...for some it is better than for others, some are better at it, some enjoy it more and some are filled with regret but in the end we can't live without it!

I used to like Tomlin now I don't trust him

 

Tomlin was brought in for a look due to the Rooney rule, that is why the rule was made. To make sure minorities did at least get a look however,He clearly kicked the other guys butts. I wanted Wiz and he had already jumped to AZ. Tomlin got hired and I'm like. What's a Tomlin? Who the heck is he? I was then swayed to be a Tomlin fan. Then the past three years he lost me. I wanted him gone. If we win the SB this year I say give him one more year. If we miss the playoffs that year, put him on the bus. He has not stopped the players from when making stops only to get a 15 yard auto 1st down penalty. It has been going on since he was here. I was at the Tampa game and Brown did his little flop, I could see his eyes. That is BS. If he tightens them up and keeps winning, I will be a Tomlin fan again. If not!! Ray Charles... HIT THE ROAD JACK.
Incidentally that was the song playing in the cat house in Danang Vietnam when the MP's busted in and took me to jail. I should have listened to Ray. They also charged me with carrying live ammo .45 cal. They did not charge me for carrying the pistol that shot it. Go figure

 

Everytime I read this message board and I see Shaner82's name, I think to myself "here comes another anti-TOmlin post by Shaner"..we understand you do not think he is a good coach for this team and that is fine. We can all agree to disagree, we all want this team to win. We are all spoiled with six Lombardis.
I personally agree on all the other things Shaner says regarding this team going forward and the defense etc...at the end of the day, it is always nice to get different opinions from different folks within steeler nation..

2009 9-7 missed playoffs
2010 12-4 lost Superbowl
2011 12-4 wild card got Tbowed
2012 8-8 Nuttin
2013 8-8 nuttin
2014 10-5 with 1 game left will be a 3, 4 5 seed

Put like that, I was wrong. I hate being wrong! But I was. Hate it when facts get in the way of a good story.
