Just throwing this out there for discussion....

With Sanders probably leaving, would we be open potentially to having Holmes back as our #2 WR if he gets cut by the Jets?

Pros...knows Ben, solid#2, Super Bowl MVP with us, would allow us not to draft a WR in this draft

Cons...attitude and criminal issues (but so did Plax)

Another speedy, short WR. No thanks. We need a big possession receiver to line up opposite Brown. We also need a TE that can stretch the field. Get those two things and this offence will be right there with NO and NE every year.

No thanks. I liked him but wasn't sad to see him go after the drug busts. Plus, he's a few years older now and I just don't see him adding anything special to the current offense.

I think Holmes burnt all his Steelers bridges with Mr. Rooney, with his Philly Blunts.

There aren't any standout WRs available in 2014. Boldin is getting long in the tooth. The others offer no significant upgrade: I'd be inclined to keep Cotchery if he comes cheap.

That said, there's one interesting possibility: Eric Decker. He might be worth a look.

No to Holmes. We need more pure leadership on this team, not less.

We could always draft one. It's not like we don't need WR's.

The way he left there is NO WAY the Rooneys will bring him back, unless he had a "Come to God" moment and is totally different now.

On the otherhand, I rewatched the 2008 DVD the other day. Holmes absolutely crushed it all season long that year. He saved our hides on numerous occasions that year. It's sad to see he wasn't able to sustain that.

I agree, I'd rather have a young tall receiver or TE.

Nope, we need to keep moving forward and stop bringing back players from the past. Somebody suggested bringing back James Harrison the other day and I didn't like that idea either. No looking back, keep moving ahead.

Agree with the sentiments about steering clear of Santonio. Should find a way to keep Cotchery and keep working the young guys Moye, Wheaton.

Speaking of, I think Ben missed Moye big time in the Cleveland game a few times
