It seems the talk about practicing soft has some bite to it. Team ain’t interested in putting folks on the carpet irregardless of gap responsibility or talent.

If a tree falls in the woods, and 11 guys just stand around and watch it, does it make a sound?

Could it be that Joe Mixon is really really good? Like Najee but with speed?

There is some truth here. Doesn't change the fact that the defense was terrible

Bengals Oline owned the Steelers and our run blocking Oline is terrible.

How many more coordinators should we fire before realizing the boss is the issue?

We know this... and the Steelers ain’t the only ones lacking in fundamentals but just to keep it on home field... it’s apparently lame. Generational type lame hahahaha

I started a thread earlier this season saying they needed to trade for a NT, they need a 320 pound guy that can handle double teams, Buggs ain't it.

I would agree it's a scheme issue also. When Ziggy hood was drafted ( I know) he was a 1 tech same as cam. Cam grew and is a stud and can play 1 -3 ( as he did today) -5 with generally good results. Ziggy couldn't learn the finer points and faded, definitely not a 5 tech.

However the D doesn't work the same way. We work off 1 and 3 tech to "slice" blocking schemes and make RBs change direction. This is great with back side discipline ( see bud Dupree again I know).

There are so many pieces missing to this scheme currently it's hard to say it's a butler or Tomlin thing. They are missing parts, badly.

You earn the right to pass rush on the dline

I don't like Buggs or Davis, both have had ample time to take the reigns and they have not.

But, moving Cam to nose yesterday might have been a mistake. Leave people where they are. Don't make it more confusing. We aren't good enough to play musical chairs.

I'm actually happy the Steelers are trying something different like moving Cam to nose instead of sitting back and doing nothing. Now that the experiment failed, I hope they aren't dumb enough to stick with Cam at nose. Give someone else a shot at that position.

The defensive roster is rough. Outside of Heyward, Watt (recovering), Fitzpatrick..... most the other guys getting time yesterday would be practice squad guys on other teams.

To be fair, Davis has been on IR and I think he’s only played in 1 game this year? Buggs had a big opportunity and unfortunately, he hasn’t taken advantage.

I kinda feel like this is the 2nd coming of 1984-1991 seasons..... on the brink of losing our franchise QB, who's been paid handsomely over the years, is about to retire and leave a roster in shambles. Not trying to be negative, because I am hopeful that we can turn things around faster than the 80's teams.

For years I always thought a shut down corner would be the Most Valuable Position on the Steelers but look back at specifically the Nose Tackle position.....Big Snack and Hoke ...can not stress this enough that I think our Dline backups over the past 20 years could be starters on most NFL teams where now its like our quality of depth on the Dline minus the LBs is where backups probably would struggle to be on another teams practice squad.

I can't understand some of the choices Turner makes either. On a pass play the man opposite him actually slides over and Green starts blocking him. For some unknown reason just like he did in the Chicago game Turner opens a clear lane to Ben and helps Green even though Green was good. Only Ben making the throw prevented him from getting crushed.
