Quick poll lots of rumors flying around. What do you think.

 

I have been a Malik Hooker fan since he was drafted. I would love to see him come to Pittsburgh.

 

Not expecting anything to happen until camp cuts now. I’d love if they signed Malik Hooker purely because I think they are too thin in terms of depth in the secondary. The fact he was in for a visit and didn’t sign is telling

Malik Hooker played HS ball ( Football and Hoops ) 5 minutes away from me, Loved watching him play! He played Center in basketball and dominated inside with explosive leaping ability, against guys that were 6'7"-6'8"..

Idk how much his injuries have zapped him from his athleticism...But I would love if we could get him!

 

None of these rumored moves close the gap with KC.

 

Doesn't matter, the Standard is to win the division and get blown out at home in the first playoff game.

I'm telling you, bring in Hooker or even re-signing Nelson would be massive. The Steelers are making some damn good moves.

 

Idk about that...Our last 2 Super Bowls, Hampton, Keisel, Farrior Foote, Troy, Ike, Timmons , Woodley...

I'm not saying this current D is THAT good, but if you were to add Hooker/ Nelson/ Conley/ or Howard...Damn, That's a dominant D I would think...And Defense still matters...

And with the Chiefs losing Frank Clark, Kyle Long...Both their All Pro Tackles...

Our D would be MUCH better than them, and it's not like the Chiefs are the 72 Dolphins or those Marsha/ Belicheat led teams!

Pretty accurate, Mahomes alone can get you a couple of wins a year. If healthy gives you much better odds in the play offs, yet we saw what TB's D did to KC's O in the SB. The window starts to get narrower every year after a QB gets paid and the team starts losing key personal to FA, and of course other teams get better as well.

 

As much as I hate Brady and think BA is overrated they had a very good blueprint for going all the way. Tough well coached defense, a top caliber running back who was able to dominate the game and aging but still very smart QB who had enough weapons on offense and intelligence to not screws things up too badly and they won. Imagine what the Steelers could have done without self inflicted wounds and a strong run game last season.

 

Steelers ain't gonna do squat. Minkah and Haden were their last best moves.

They won it all in Hoops...Hooker was the tallest guy and played Center against a team ( the name eludes me ) of Giants...In Football I believe they lost in the State Championship

 

Just remember ...everyone can't make the roster ...so if Malik Hooker do come here, who is he gonna replace?? ...Antoine Brooks?? Tre Norwood?? Marcus Allen?? ...with the Melvin Ingram signing he's basically replacing Cassius Marsh ...also I believe Buddy Johnson was drafted to replace UGIII

 

If he does sign for the Steelers it’d come down to a camp battle I guess, or maybe somebody gets injured etc. The fact that they may need to cut a roster bubble guy wouldn’t put me off the signing.
