Roquan Smith a Raven

Ravens reportedly giving up a 2nd and a 5th for a player they’ll control for 9 games.

 

Poor asset management in my opinion. Sure he helps their D, but he doesn’t raise them up close to the level of a Buffalo or KC. And there’s no way they can afford to retain him long-term.

 

Idk how this stacks up..unless they have some injuries. The playoff games last year beyond the first week were all very close. The move itself really isn't that bad if it gets you to the SB. They have an extra 5th so it's basically the 2nd. But I agree it will be hard to sign him with the cash Lamar is going to command.

 

At lest their trying to put. A championship team on field.

Are they going to sign both Roquan and Lamar long term? For that matter, what becomes of Patrick Queen?! He has been quite disappointing to say the least. Does he get jettisoned then?!

 

It doesn't, but I wouldn't say Cincinnati is in the same class as Buffalo or KC either, yet they ended up in the SB. In a 1 game format, you just never know. Baltimore is a team that can make some noise if they play well.

 

Seems to me that Queen has been a really good player on that defense no?

I do hope that continues for him for his previous season was not a sure sophomore slump.

I would, but I don't see how they will. Can You imagine the backlash of that. I think they will eventually just grin, and bare it.
