RIP Gordon

Since the song of the day thread is 84 pages long now, I want to give an RIP to one of the best song writers out there. Gordon Lightfoot dead at 84!

 

RIP. I just heard about this earlier.

 

We share something other than 10am Sunday Steeler games my Friend. I had every album he ever released and played/sang dozens of his songs from over the years. And for your liking, he wrote many songs about the sea and fateful ships. Check out The Ballad of Yarmouth Castle.

Hold on there you desert rat, My son lives in LA. (State, not city) he is an hour behind us groovy east coasters. You are saying Arkansas is 3 hours behind me. Stop smoking that cactus stuff and know that friend you are talking about get's to watch the 1:00 games at noon just like me boy. I know you're just joshing me and it's a common assumption that everyone on this Board is responding to STD......but in this case I was responding to my left coast compatriot Santee who last I checked resides in Santee CA (just east of San Diego) and also last I checked is located in the Pacific Time Zone. 10am Steeler start times still applies for regular Sunday starts. Now I'm worried about you folks EAST of the Miss Zippy.

Because (and this is a compliment) without a doubt you are our resident TSF website influencer. Look what you did with the ever popular Song of the Day thread. You have replaced our old comrade BFT (Blount Force Trauma) as the most active participant around here in a short 30 month period.

 

If I didn't know better, I'd say they are the same person.

As he said, he's "way back in the sticks." In Tenessee. He left the board when the Colin Krapyerdick spectacle first started. He would PM every once in a while but, stopped even doing that.
