    My prediction is they will pick #20 the best player available at RT or at CB.

    the top RTs are
    * Taliese Fuaga Oregon State
    * JC Latham Alabama
    * Amarius Mims Georgia

    the top CBs are
    * Kool-Aid McKinstry Alabama
    * Cooper DeJean Iowa
    * Terrion Arnold Alabama
    * Kamari Lassiter Georgia
    * Nate Wiggins Clemson
    * Quinyon Mitchell Toledo

    The only one that makes sense here is OT. I think if they go DB it will be a Safety.

    You have nine names, we pick at 20.
    Not on your list, but will be picked top 20 barring serious injury or arrest in the next two months-
    3 qbs- Williams, Maye, and Daniels will probably go 1-2-3
    3 wr's- Harrison, Odunz, Nabors
    2 LT's- Alt, Fashanu
    1 TE- Bowers
    3 edge- Turner, Latu, Verse

    That's 12- we'll have our choice of at least two. My belief is we either go 1st tackle, 2nd center (Van Pran or Frazier), 3rd nickle corner (Melton or Sanristal) or we go CB, C, RT.

    In an ideal world they would somehow manage to come away with fuaga/Mims , Sweat, and JPJ/Frazier with their first 3 picks. Probably better odds of winning the lottery, but one can dream.

    I think DB, and then center. I'm liking Charles T. from LSU.

    Frazier and Van Pran will be there waiting for the Steelers to pick them in the 2nd round.

    The media is going to make JPJ go way too high for his lack of experience. JPJ has 13 starts at center all coming from last year. Was never a starter until 2023.

    Sit back and have your pick of the 2 top experienced centers in the draft.

    Don't get me wrong, I was all over JPJ being the Steelers 2nd round pick with Mason Cole sticking around another year showing JPJ the ropes. Please, don't even think about JPJ at 20!!!

    how is that center from arkansas? i'd still rather CB first, i like tampa, then possibly sweat the DL from texas and then possibly a center. i do like the kid from wake forest as well for the center spot. he could come later. what do i know though. i doubt arnold the db from bama would be there at 20. if he was i would jump on him quickly. :cool:

    Unless it is Nate Wiggins, CB really isn't an option in Round 1 as far as I am concerned. Kool Aid's athleticism is to be determined at the combine, Arnold isn't nearly long enough (same for Quinyon) and Cooper's talents will solely depend on how Teryl Austin elects to use him; something I am not 100% confident in given how Minkah was used a season ago.

    Regarding the Tackles?! Amarius Mims or JC Latham though Latham is the least likely to make it to 20. Mims is more likely though even that is not a possibility. Fuaga should be the ideal choice but given Tomlin's penchant of going out West, much less the entirety of the Front Office of the team, pin him down as very unlikely.

    many changes in the front office and scouting department. with usc and some others coming into the big 10, i believe the out west teams will get more highly scouted by us in the near future. :cool:

    I sure hope so in the case of the PAC 12. As for the likes of the B1G, why Iowa has been largely ignored minus last season baffles me. Perhaps that is potential flashpoint for Cooper DeJean?! Remember that Broderick Jones, although a gifted talent, was mainly brought up by the likes of his Georgia Players via Tomlin during the teams 2022 Pro Day Visit... though Georgia is usually a Program where the Steelers contingent is largely represented.

    I would hope for the same given how both Khan and Tomlin were at Iowa's Pro Day in 2023.

    If Quinyon Mitchell the Toledo CB has a good combine, I could see him going in the first round.

    He's been clocked at 4.32 and is 6'0" tall. If he runs that time at the combine Mitchell will go in the first round.

    Love to see Fuaga at 20, although I think it's a pipe dream.... If I'm not mistaken, Fuaga has not given up a sack in his entire college career... if he's not there (which I believe will be the case), Powers Johnson is my choice
