OK, that might be a slight overstatement, but this kid is fast. Dunn is one of the UDFAs we signed today. He's a WR/KR out of Utah who ran a 4.22 40 at his pro day. He returned four kickoffs for touchdowns last year setting an NCAA record.

Notice on that first return td they said "no flags". That would be great if that happened to us! LOL. I really would LOVE to have a return specialist though. ST have been the chink in our armor for a while now.

Good point. Us looking for a return man is pointless!

I like him but the only way he makes the team is if he has a few huge reterns in the pre season.

I like even more that he can be patient when he needs to be and let things develop. Most speed guys just try to outrun even their blockers. But once he has a crack, he hits second and third gear in 0.1 seconds. :)

All of that said, what are the odds he can make the team? Is he any good at WR or RB? Would we keep him just to return kicks?

I agree on all these points Ray. Good reading of the returns, good patience (though we would have had about five flags on that first return).

With both Chris Rainey and Stefan Logan before they struggled outside of ST, though - imposing on the game can be difficult for the little quick guys coming out of college.

(I say "little"... I haven't actually seen his numbers, he just looks small in the clips)

Loved this quote from one of the announcers:
"The most dangerous return man in the country!"

Averaged 45.9 yards per return. Wow! Pretty electrifying. May have a shot.

Can you imagine this kid in space??? The only thing is that it looks like if he tried to play offense that he would get blown up at the line of scrimmage. But if he could get out in space there would be no catching him for sure. I hope he makes the team.

To correct my earlier statement, he actually averaged 51.3 yards per return!! THAT IS INSANE!

Can you imagine ALWAYS starting in the opposing team's territory???

Teach this young man how to return punts too! With the kickoff rules now he won't see many chances in that facet. I don't really see 4.22 speed out of him, but he looks like a great return man with good vision and patience.

Dang you NB for buzz killing me! LOL! But that's a good point though about the new rules hampering him on kickoff returns. I hate that rule with a passion.

I just don't see them making a roster spot for him unless he can wear multiple hats. If they can't use him in a similar fashion to Rainey then it really doesn't make any sense.

I agree. With today's kickoff rules, there's no room on a roster for a kickoff return specialist, but there is for a KO/punt return specialist. I'm sure that he will be seeing a lot of punts in rookie camp and beyond.

Willie Parker ran a 4.23 at the N. Carolina Pro Day so this young man is in good company. I guess he's a long shot but he could be a lot of fun to watch.

He really does seem to have great vision looking at those clips. Know what else I liked about him? He doesn't seem to showboat. He acts like he's been there before. No crazy dance or anything. Just drops ths ball once he hits the endzone. I hope this kid can stick around.

He didn't seem to have much patience in that second clip as he almost tripped over his own guy. However, I love how fluid his cuts are while staying north & south.
